Fall Wedding Inspiration

There's an indescribable romantic vibe that fall/autumn brings. The ambiance of it would make a wedding more sentimental, intimate and romantic. If we will have a renewal of vow, I would like to incorporate an autumn inspired to a beach wedding, yep contrast it may seems but I know it is doable since there are lots of creative suppliers in the wedding industry. Oh, let's dream on...

I am thinking that the guests would love to smell the sweetness of honey and cinnamon all around the wedding venue. The place will be full of trees with red and orange leaves. the aisle will have scattered leaves and on the side will have pumpkins with scented candles. The bridesmaids are all in their red/orange dresses with their partners in their tuxedo and dry leaf with red buttons flower as their boutonnieres. After the wedding ceremony, I'm quite sure that the guests are all hungry that's why I am thinking to serve waffles with toppings of their choice before they will proceed to the reception venue.

At the reception, classical music and ballads will fill the air to set the romantic mood. A very classy centerpieces on each tables, great and lots of food (make sure to have a buffer for your guest, it should be more than enough for the guests, this is one way of showing how grateful you are that they came to your wedding).

I googled some photos that I like,

There are lots of ways to save on weddings. DIY-ing is one, looking for affordable suppliers and renting of dresses and tuxedo. You can check The Black Tux website which I found on the net, they offer black tuxedo and accessories for rent.

At the end of the event, what important is the Marriage not the Wedding.

Real Love is all about Commitment and Friendship

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
1 Corinthians 13:4-7

This year marks our 10th year together as a couple, Mark got my "YES" on the phone on July 14, 2001 he was on his way to his hometown to attend his sister's 18th birthday, but we made it official the day he came back to school from Mindoro on July 17, 2011, we were classmates and we became close in the last sem of our second year in college, I didnt know that he has a crush on me, we get closer when we were in our third year, he was always on my side, but I am not aware of his intention, I really treat him as a good friend. I remember one time I have a problem (school problem) he asked me to sit in one of the benches in Luneta (it is opposite of our school and where I am waiting for a jeepney to send me home) and he wanted to solve my problem, but that night I ended up talking about myself, my dreams, my favorites, my heartaches instead of discussing my problem, honestly that whole time I felt at peace and forgot whatever it is that bothers me. Before that may I add that he will rode the same jeepney going to my dormitory and he insisted that it is the nearest route going to his home without me knowing that he just wanted me to send home. When the time he told me his feeling for me, I made myself distant to him, I felt betrayed, but he still pursue me even if almost everyday I refused his love,I really admire his perseverance, he loves me when I was not loveable, when I am being hard on him, he never gave up and continued to offer his love. It was a test actually if he is true to me or not, I believe then to the saying "Hard to get, hard to forget", I want to test him how far he can go with me, how much his patience, and how much he loves me, because I knew as we grew older a lot of trials will come our way and I want someone who is strong enough to stand beside me, someone who will never leave me. True enough we surpassed all the trials we had in our relationships, we supported each other and became partners in every problems we encountered, we dream together and we are hand in hand fulfilling our dreams.
When Mark had an opportunity to work abroad he asked for my hand in marriage and I agreed, God is really good to us, He knew we can't stand to be far from each other, God made it possible for me to work here in Singapore. After three years of being married, Mark fulfilled his promise to marry me in my dream church, wearing a bridal gown (I was just happy to wear a simple white gown but Mark gave me the best and my heart desire, to be a Veluz bride), expressing his love in front of God and all those important people in our lives. We are really blessed to found each other, there's always trying times in life but I will face it with a smile because someone is holding my hand and giving me assurance that everything will be okay.
Let me share to you my bridal march song:

In search of my life and my one true love
I prayed to Almighty God above
And His masterful voice directed me

To the many things I was destined to do

So I sailed across the mighty sea
Pursued knowledge of the highest degree

Took to learning new skills
Experienced new thrills
Felt my life was completely fulfilled

At the end of my amazing quest
After proving myself
By achieving success
I hoped to find the prize so rare
A priceless treasure beyond compare

For God promised He would bring me love

A love without measure, trusting and true

And behold, my dear Zigrid
He brought me to you
He brought me to you

In search of my life and my one true love
I prayed to Almighty God above
And His compassionate voice directed me
To the many things I was destined to do

And in my private reverie
I read of lands across the sea
I imagined enchanting hollow and hill
Worlds beyond my window sill

And through all of these my fancied quests
I cherish the secrets held close to my breast
I hoped to find the prize so rare
A priceless treasure beyond compare

For God promised He would bring me love
A love without measure, precious and true
And behold, my dear Mark Anthony

And behold, my dear Zigrid
He brought me to you
He brought me to you

My heart knew this without a doubt
That's what destiny's all about
God promised He would bring me love
A love strong and true
A promise He fulfilled above
He brought me to you
He brought me you

As always, God fullfilled his promise He brought Mark to me, I patiently wait for the right one, Mark is my first and last boyfriend and I am also his first and last girlfriend.

Here is our Same Day Edit Video of our wedding, we were very emotional, all the guests our family and friends were all present.

Real Love is all about Commitment and Frienship, we believe in the word "COMMITMENT" to have a successful relationship/marriage that no matter what happens we are commited to each other and nothing will break us apart, we started as friends and we will remain as good friends in love with each other until our last breath.

36 Days To Go!!!

At this time, I learned to let go, I am now contented on what we have now, I dont what to stress ourselves for the little things about the wedding. When we were in the Philippines last Holy Week, I remember my father said to not to worry about others reaction, because we can't please everybody, everybody has to say something, we have limited number of guests, I wanted to invite them all but we have to stick on our budget.
I finally met our coordinator Ms. Clarice, hmmm..happiness... she's such a darling, we discussed everything, she is very organize, Mark has nothing to say but all praises to her. She accompanied us to Dangwa to book for Mang Boy Mahusay for the flowers, she really helped us on what kind of flowers to choose, and im so happy because everyone will have a bouquet on our wedding but still the price is within our budget. ( our PS is 16 pairs, FG is 12.. hehehe). I am so happy on getting her as our coordinator.
We met also with Mr. Lorenz Arquero of Serenata Strings, he is very nice also, we discussed about the songs (entou march, bridal march, first dance, father and daughter dance) to be used, and the rest will be his selections.
We also had our prenup, Lindsay Co-Alog made my hair and make up, then we headed to La Mesa Eco Park to meet with Feliz Christine Diestro my prenup coordinator and Jayson and JOanne Arquiza our photographers. We had a great time working with them, we love our pictures, it's like we are not ngarag days before our prenup shoot.

Surprises!!!

I didn't expect this to happen, this wedding, my gown, and the E-RING! Am I deserving for this?(lol)
When we got married, although Mark promised me to give me my dream wedding,I didn't take it seriously, as I knew that once we are married our priorities will change, until the day after our first year here in Singapore that he brought out the topic. I was just thinking that wow,, he really serious in keeping his promise, that was the time that I keep daydreaming of myself wearing a nice gown, yap, I think the most important for me aside from my groom waiting at the end of the aisle and my family and friends cheering and happy for us, is my GOWN, but in my mind the wedding is a bonus na I don't want to abuse what I have na,, but there’s one designer who captured my heart, but I need to come back in reality that spending too much in my gown is a big NO, we should priority first what we need and let go of nice to haves. I search for other designers but never push through the transactions, Mark then was so quiet and just letting me decide for the wedding, until he asked me how much is the costs of the gown made by my dream designer, my eyes were twinkling, I couldn’t believe he is asking, and my reply was as I remember,, “naku mahal talaga hon e, dami pa natin kailangan.” (with a little kilig tone in my voice) Then he told me to just try to inquire,, masunurin akong asawa kaya I DID! When Ms. V replied and send the quotation for my gown, I informed agad mark , I was nervous that he might change his mind but he was happy for what he saw and asked me to send the reservation as soon as possible, I told him I will not ask for anything, coz for me my gown is too much, I couldn’t ask for more. Then the last surprised I get from him is my engagement ring, this is the least I expect from Mark, for in my mind I have my gown as a replacement for it.One night after my birthday, I was impatiently waiting for him, coz he usually never go home late, except if he is in a mall to buy something, he is too meticulous in buying things unlike me I easily decide on stuff when I shop, and he always ask permission whenever he will buy something. That night was different, he never answered my call, I was losing my temper, I easily get irritated especially when I am hungry (lol). When he came, I was relieved that he was safe, then he told me he has something for me, I was thrilled coz I knew he’s not kuripot when it comes to me, then he showed me a small box,, my heart was beating so fast, when I opened the box jaraaannn,, it was a necklace,, hehehe waaaa!!! I was not expecting but when I saw the box the first thing in my mind was a ring,, a little bit disappointed hehhee,, but I didn’t show it to him,, he put it on my neck and I kissed and hugged him, we ate our dinner, then he kept asking the whole night if I am happy,, I said I am. The next morning, I woke him up to get ready to work, I thought he was in the shower but after 2mins he woke me up, and the first thing I saw was the same box it was opened and the ring was there, so beautiful and simple. I was looking on it, as he uttered the words he said before. kilig till now.

My 6 days at HOME

The picture above was made by my brother in law Anjo, it wasn't done yet but I am happy with the outcome. Thanks anjo. hope you will not get tired of our kakulitan,, hehehe.

I am done with my first fitting of my gown, all praises to my designer Ms. V, it was only a lining but it really fits well, I really felt I am like a princess,, too bad i wasn't able to take a picture, I was starstrucked kasi with her. My next fitting will be on January 29, we already booked our ticket for that, I will not let it pass na, will post photos of it here.

My 6 days vacation last week is tiring but I felt a lot of happiness, had a great time with my family especially my mom whom I missed most, everyday of it was about wedding preps, had food tasting with our caterer, I am just a little bit disappointed because I was looking for that wow factor taste, but I just find it plain and ordinary, but there's no turning back, we already paid for reservation before even if we haven't tasted their foods I took a risk here I just relied from what I read about them, after the food tasting I want to let go of our reservation with them but I dont have much time to find for replacement so we just settled and paid the downpayment. Maybe I will just ask for another food tasting for Mark in January and we'll just make suggestions on how to improve the menu.

We also went to our reception, there's a wedding that time, I can't describe the feeling, it was my first time to see the place and I find it perfect, I knew I made a right choice to this one.

I am now planning our itinerary for our 4 days vacation in January, i know it will be a lot easier because Mark is coming with me.

The Wedding

Im currently reading this book, im done with the first few pages, had to stop to blog. hehehe.
I was at the bookstore looking for something to read when I saw this book of Nicholas Sparks, and bought it right away. My Wedding Gown

Before we start our wedding preparations I always visit her site and in an instant I am a big fan of her, I am very much amaze on how much love she puts on her craft. I never thought that she will be able to design my gown, a dream that I thought will never come to reality. Hindi ko alam kung saan ako kumuha ng lakas ng loob na iemail at mag inquire sa kanya August last year, I didn't get any reply from her maybe because I asked the price of one of her beautiful gowns in her site, after that I focused on other things like caterer and venue hunting, but from time to time I visit her site, basta pag andun ako sa site nya pigil ang tili ko, kinikilig ako while showing kay hubby yung mga gowns, basta palagi ang bukang bibig ko "Ang Ganda". I inquired again but this time kay Niko naman, I found already the acceptance na hindi ko talaga kaya magpagawa ng gown sa kanya, si Niko ang next option ko kasi sabi ko sa sarili ko Si NIKO yun parang VELUZ na din ako nun, but at that time busy na sila for their December weddings, Ms. Gercel told me that I can set an appointment with him pag uwi ko, but being an impatient of me I can't wait kasi po bata pa talaga ako gown na yung importante sa akin, I inquired to other designers but palagi akong may hesitation to pursue the transaction with them, gusto ko talaga si Ms. Veluz. Sis Escie advised me na kung gusto ko talaga sya I should get her na lang no worries pa, and very flexible din ang payment sa kanya unlike sa iba na required to give the 50% of the price, kung konti lang din ang difference ng quote from other designers dagdagan ko na lang para VELUZ na. I emailed her again together with my gown inspiration and konting explanation of what I like, she replied to me to wait for her sketch and sobrang busy sila dahil sa december, I really understand her, I know that December is the busiest month of the year, most couples prefer to get married on this month because the weather is good, most of our relatives abroad can easily come home because of the long holidays, etc.

February when I received an email from her saying that she is working on my sketch na and asking for my height, I can't explain the happiness I felt that time especially when I received the sketches. Everytime mag uusap kami na i starstruck pa din ako, she's very friendly, hindi intimidating ang bait bait nya kahit makulit ako and she gave me her 2008 rate since last year pa daw ako nag inquire, wow talaga.

I love her more kasi she let me decide on what to choose between my specific design I sent to her or her own design based on what she think that will look better on me. Medyo long read na sensya na po excited lang po, share ko po yung picture ng gown na pinadala ko sa kanya at yung sketch nya for me. Since gusto ko talaga ball gown, kaso masyadong magastos sa tela, e love ko din yung layered na skirt kaya my gown will be 3 layered skirt with inserted lace. Basta sobrang happy ako na Veluz bride na din ako.

1. First picture is the final sketch of my gown
2. Second picture is the design inspiration of the skirt
3. Third picture is for the upper design
Note: Ms. V sent me a sketch with a halter top but I opted to choose her own design which is the 1st picture. Sowee din po hindi ko maipost yung pictures ng maayos,,, hehehe.

Flower Balls and Green Cymbidiums

(hope ok lang kina Jayson kung pinost ko dito yung picture na ito, love ko kasi talaga itong flowers sa church, yung bouquet from Scenta flora naman)

Scenta flora is the accredited flower supplier of fernwood and fernbrook, I saw their arrangements from Jayson Arquiza's site and I fell in love with it, it was a red roses flower balls. When I inquired with them, they sent me also the pictures of their bouquets and love ko agad ung green cymbdiums bagay na bagay sa motif namin, maybe i'll just put pink accent para ok na ok na talaga.
Pero gustuhin ko man, out of our budget na sila, I have to let go na lang siguro, i need to find other supplier that can make my bouquet as beautiful as this pero cheaper ang rate. Sa church arrangements naman, it is included na actually sa church namin yung flowers kaya we will ask them if we can upgrade the flowers na lang. Madami kaming nice to have sa wedding pero madami din kaming dapat unahin na mas mahalaga. Dami pa namin kulang sa wedding tapos ang bilis pa ng araw. hay,,, sad!
