Thankful 14th

Ten days before our 14th anniversary, we moved here in Asker. The weather here is very nice, I can wear shorts again outside yiheeee!!!

As we explore our new place, we enjoyed the food as well. 😄

I am a burger lover, good thing we discovered this burger house. so yummy 😍😍😍

Last friday, we celebrated our 14th year together, and the moving part made it more memorable. Kahit mahirap, starting a new life here, buying the basic needs like frying pan etc kahit magastos and all, sobrang bonded kami ni hubby yung kahit pressured kami at pagod, hindi kami nagkakainisan, para kami ulit bagong kasal, enjoy na enjoy kami. Almost everyday I meet him after his work, buy groceries and then we walk home together HHWW hehehe.

20 minutes lang by train ang byahe namin to Oslo, natuwa ako naalala ko sg, kahit hindi ganun katulad ng sg, happy din ako kasi madami shops nakakatuwa mag window shopping. Ang daming sale ngaun.

I got my first MK bag for half of its original price. so happy! 😍😍😍

Took this picture while going from Stavanger to Oslo. so beautiful!

I'm so glad that I said "yes" to my husband 14 years ago. 😍😍😍

Stay in love everyone! God bless us. mwahugs! 😊

Emptyness on New Beginnings

Time check : 3:50 am

Still awake and hearing some birds chirping. Everytime we move to a new place, my heart is breaking into pieces. It is always sad and hard to say goodbye to the place you used to go around especially to your family  and friends you've met and became a part of your daily life. Another challenge is when you arrive to a new place full of strangers.
Last Sunday, we arrived with our four luggages to this new place, everything is good so far, but we are still dealing with the emptiness and longing of the people we used to play and hang out with.

As we traveled to this new place, we are welcomed with an empty home (not literary empty but without our own things we are familiar with) and most especially with an empty fridge that made our empty stomach sad, luckily the houseowner was very nice to help us find an open supermaket to buy food.

and dyarannn... egg and hotdog saved us on that Sunday dinner.

I know I will adjust well in our current place soon. Honestly, I was mixed emotions when I learned that there is a possibility that we are going to move here, sad because I will miss the people close to my heart and I will also miss the place, on the other hand I am happy to start a new life without too many people around me. Before I get tired of attending parties and gatherings, thinking of what to wear, what food to bring etc... now Mark is joking me to have a bbq party just the two of us, that thought made me sad ang gulo ko noh hehehe.

God bless us 😘😘😘

De-stressing

Hello friendships!!! 😍😍😍

Missing in action na naman ang beauty ko hihihi,,, I will never go into details basta dramarama lang ang peg, nothing serious it's just that I feel that I am experiencing the unsureness of life, tumatanda na talaga feeling ko mid life crisis lang. I was idle and unproductive, I was consumed by negative thoughts and stress. I'm just very lucky that there were some people in my life who were very supportive, loving and praying for me.

How I cope up with stress and depression? Set your mind that you are Happy!!! Everyday my mother will send me text messages and always says "Anak maging masaya ka ..." sobrang cliche' na count your simple blessings that make you happy, it's not that easy kasi we always desire the things that we don't have, but we have to...while we are waiting for what we are hoping for.

1) Another thing is... Go to your "happy place and order your "happy meal"
Eating out makes me happy, but since the magic word for us now is "Tipid" we don't do this as often as before. I miss the times when we were in sg and I was working, but my life is different now and I have to embrace it happily!

Good news is... Starbucks is here... It opened a few weeks ago here in Stavanger. The queue were very long the first time we went there and seats were occupied but since we had an early appointment this morning we were able to have our breakfast there with a very few customers 😊

2) Go back to your interest or find a new one.

Blogging (thank you May and Diane 😍😍😍💖💖💖) and reading books clear my mind and make me go to places in my imagination

3) Surround yourself with positive and happy people

We were very lucky to have met new friends in the midst of my so called (mid-life crisis) and because of that it made the friendship more special. It is very essential to have a good support system, an inspiration to strive more and be "a better self" everyday.
God has a lot of ways to comfort us and let us feel His Love... one way is by sending people like you...
Thank you May love you mwahugs 😘😘😘

4) Be Kind

Stress level may eat us up, I am guilty of this, There were days that I wasn't really in the mood at lumalabas ang pagkatigre ko sa asawa ko... hehehe... Sorry Hon for those "ugly monster wifey moments" I admire your unconditional love and patience... I love you ♥️♥️♥️

Remember Be Kind...Be Beautiful...

5) Pray and have a strong faith

Prayers are very important in our daily life, when you pray it starts your day with a peaceful heart. And when you have faith to God anything is possible.
Lord please help me to have a grateful heart every minute of everyday. We Love You 😘😘😘

We attended a wedding celebration on Valentines day, kaya libre and food pati live music hehehe,,, nakatipid dun ang asawa ko ah hihihi!

braso pa more hihih

Thank you Hon for being my valentine for 14 years... it is not easy to maintain and date the same person all those years but you chose me again and again... Love more, give more means more happiness. =) I love you my valentine forever.

Foodie: Cheesy Baked Salmon

I've been reading about Conti's on my facebook newsfeed and told myself that we will definitely visit it when we go home.
Luckily one of my n@wie sister shared a recipe of their Baked Salmon. Tired of prito and sinigang sa salmon, I tried it and we instantly loved it. Advantage ng di pa nakakakain ng Conti's I can't compare kung close enough sya sa lasa hehehe.

Ingredients

400 grams Salmon Fillet
Garlic
Lemon
Mayonnaise
Parmesan Cheese
Cheddar Cheese
Pepper
Salt

Marinate the salmon overnight with minced garlic, lemon and a dash of pepper and salt.
For the toppings, Mixed the minced garlic, mayo, parmesan cheese and cheddar cheese then set aside.
Remove the salmon from the marinade and pat it dry with kitchen towel.
Place it in the baking dish and spread the toppings evenly.
Pre-heat the oven , then bake it for 190 deg C for 20 minutes until it becomes slightly brown.
For the side dish, I just sauteed the carrots and corn in a butter.

Ideally, it is best served with mashed potatoes, but since pinoy tayo kanin kami. Rice pa more hehehe.

Happy New Year!!! :)

2014 was somehow a tough year for us, I felt a lot of rejection last year, and everything I hoped for was just very hard to attain. This year I didn't pray for that "thing", Just staying very positive that whatever trials or triumphs I can handle it very well just what I did last year or even better.

We celebrated Christmas and New Year very quietly in our home, we cooked food, watched movies at Netflix and that's all. But knowing that our family are happy and all healthy we are contented and happy too.
And because of the trials that we have won, we were happy to share our blessings in a very simple way. Last year, Mark's classmates has a project for their school, there's an on going feeding program and the class decided to donate things to be used in that program. Mark and I decided to give a simple noche buena package for the 31 students since it's Christmas for them to share with the family  on Christmas eve.
The joy on their faces really warms our hearts. Hopefully every year we can give more and share our blessings.

Once again we felt the real joy, to make others happy.
