Carlton Hotel

I allotted a budget for my friend's Baby Shower, I searched for a hotel that will fit my budget, as much as I wanted to book Marina Bay Sands but my budget wont allow it, then I heard that you can book a discounted rate sa MBS if you know someone working there that will help to arrange the booking for you, so wala naman akong friend na staff from MBS kaya wala na sya sa options. 200 sgd lang kasi ang budget ko sa hotel kaya pag nag 250sgd na out na sa budget ko kasi may ++ pa un.

I requested for free upgrade sa room hehehe,, but the receptionist told me na madami sila guests, but she gave me a room in the higher floor so ok na din, then I just gave a 50sgd guarantee deposit, nagulat nga ako kala ko mga 100sgd ang hihinging deposit sa akin.

True enough binigyan ako ng magandang view, swimming pool. 

And see that Raffles City, that is the nearest mall, as in tatawid lang at yun na, dun din yung way papuntang MRT. 

All in all ok naman yung room, medyo plain nga lang yung bathroom and luma na din yung mga tiles, hindi sya yung type ng hotel na pang luxury staycation, pero very convenient ang location nya, kaya di din ako nahirapan saka ung mga guests sa baby shower na puntahan yung hotel, there's a Cold Storage kasi sa Raffles City kaya lahat ng last minute na kailangan namin madali lang namin nabili, like condiments, drinks, etc. hindi din strict sa guest yung hotel, you will need a card to press the floor na pupuntahan mo, e that time alam nila yung room number kaya nag paassist lang sila, the receptionist called me na there are guests na gustong umakyat sa room ko, tapos nun nag confirm ako, inassist na din nila sa lift. 

Ah ito pa pala, ang alam ko lang ay kasama na yung breakfast sa binayadan ko, pero naghanda ako for additional charge para sa internet access, nagulat ako kasama na pala yung 24 hour internet access sa binayadan ko. 

The buffet breakfast is the typical breakfast sa hotel, ako kasi basta may egg at bacon masaya na ako, but I saw a lot of fruits din, may congee din, may sausage, may salad, may oatmeal, may mga pastry din, may siomai, chicken bao, hindi ako masyado nag ikot kasi ok na ako sa bacon at egg, hehehe,, 

I requested for late check out, binigyan ako until 1:00pm, pero 12 pm nag check out na ako, buti na lang pinay yung  receptionist bilis lang ng check out ko, may naconsume ako na bottled water kaya yun lang yung binawas sa deposit ko. 

Inspiring Story

After my breakfast, I went back to my room to watch MMK online, e syempre cryola na naman ang lola nyo, ang ganda ng story and nakakarelate kami kasi we were now on that situation, the difference only is that we dont know who needs medical help sa aming dalawa, kasi while we started to see a doctor Mark naman was scheduled to go to Norway.

Diaper Cake and Outfit of the Day

Friends, Romans and Countrymen, lend me your ears,, este your eyes pala hehehe,, I remember memorizing this piece for an audition when I was in Freshman, lahat na lang ata ng activities dati sinalihan ko, (ang hindi lang pala ay singing contest at beauty pageant na frustrations ko hanggang ngayon hahaha!!!) ang daldal ko na naman,, oh well eto na back to topic.


Today is Jaz' Baby Shower, the original plan was not to tell the couple about this baby shower, but I decided yesterday to tell Vice about the plan so that he can help me to bring Jaz to the place where we will be holding the event, but I didn't reveal everything to him para may element pa din ng surprise. We were living together in the same house and the first thing to consider is the venue, I booked Carlton Hotel's weekend getaway promo thru Agoda, this  hotel is quite near Raffles City Shopping Center  and just opposite of Chijmes, I invited her officemates and friends and I also asked for video messages from their families in the Philippines. It was a success, Jaz has no idea kahit na nagluluto ako kanina at madami akong dala ang reason ko was I have to attend my godson's birthday party, tapos si Vice naman reason nya kay Jaz ay may dadalawin na pinsan na nakacheck in sa hotel.

Last night I did this diaper cake, wala akong talent sa arts and crafts kaya super challenge sa akin to,

materials I used:

I placed the big masking tapes in the center of the round carton to served as a pattern, then I rolled the diaper one by one and put the rubber to hold the roll, I arranged them according to the pattern and tied a blue ribbon around them, them same thing I did for the second layer, I used the baby mickey mouse shoes as the cake topper and I added some toys for decorations.

I love the blending of these two colors, it reminds me of our Philippine flag, and winner ang necklace ko with star pendant, really matched with my outfit.

Foodie: My First Time at Sakae Sushi

Last night, before we went home from work, my officemate Everly invited me for a dinner, she knew that I love eating and she remembered what I mentioned to her that I've never been to Sakae Sushi before. How sweet noh, I truly appreciate her kindness and her way of showing that she cared for me, alam kasi nya na I feel alone especially after work dun ko nararamdaman ng wagas na mag isa ako hehehe,, na nobody is waiting for me, the moment I stepped out of our office bldg iniisip ko na saan or ano kakainin ko. Basta I appreciate someone like her na inaalala yung situation ko,, I am truly blessed =)

The price of each plate depends on its color, I remember the green plate is the cheapest.

I so love these, super yummy, I thought I can not take it because I dont like raw food, but it was so  delicious, I will keep coming back to Sakae Sushi just to have these. =)

Saturday Good Finds =)

Ang ganda ng weather nung Saturday =) I had the whole afternoon to look for bargains =D

I think this is one of the advantages of being alone, I have a lot of "ME" time,  a lot of time to roam around, and to look for super bargains sapagkat kuripot ako hehehe, I went home with a happy heart, but I told myself na QUOTA na ako this month hahaha,, sa next pay day again ni hubby hihihi!!

These were inside my loot bags =D

I bought the green pants and blue blouse at H&M and the Peach pants (iba yung color sa picture) was bought in Promod, see the orange tag from 39.90sgd I bought this pants for only 20sgd and the Pants and blouse from H&M are 17.90 sgd each, the necklace is 9.90sgd, there are different colors pa sa H&M and if budget is not concern I would have bought the same pants with each of the colors available, imagine ung pants as H&M is around 600 pesos, when I was in vacation sa Pinas ang simpleng pambahay sa SM is nasa 300 to 400 na. Another secret that I will reveal here is that was the first H&M I bought since they opened their store here in Singapore, super crowded kasi at wala akong tyaga sa ganun especially when Mark was here because everytime we go out there were plans na and window shopping is not in our list. I hate window shopping kasi talaga, I want to go to one shop if I have an intension to buy.

And I just want to share din, this is very useful to me, major na major, I passed by Japan Home yesterday and I found this storage box.

Perfect for my abubots =D, I have to buy another  to accomodate my other accessories.

Mishu!!!

Happy Sunday mga Gorgeous!!!!

I was browsing my photos stored in my phone when I saw these pictures, almost 2 months na na hubby is not around, and realized how messy our room is, wahhhh,, major general cleaning ang peg ko today,, wahehehe,, Mark is an all around guy, you can depend on him at home cooking, laundry, pagseset up ng mga tech, cable wire etc and simple things like pag chachange ng bedsheet at quilt cover, remember when I changed my bedsheet and quilt cover ayyy wagas ang hirap pala, lalo na yung sa quilt cover, when we talked that night I told him "Hon and hirap pala mag palit ng quilt cover hehehe" sabi nya oo hon pumapasok pa daw sya sa loob para maayos nya maigi, at superb din sya sa paglilinis ng banyo I can't remember when I clean our bathroom sya yun palagi e na paglabas nya ng banyo nakaligo na sya tapos linis na din ang bathroom namin,  even outside when you need directions where and how to go to a certain place, even sa packing of things everytime we go on vacation sya lahat yun, I will just give to him my things that I need to bring, he is organized too, mas maayos ang closet nya kesa sa akin, and pag may hindi ako makita na gamit ko kasi nga burara ako at kung saan ko lang naiiwan ang gamit ko, ayyyy ask him and he can find it. It's ironic that now that I am alone I feel that our room is so small and when I look around, a lot of things are cluttered everywhere, basta ang sikip ngayon hahaha!!!

Pag may handaan sa house, I will tell him what I want to cook and ending sya lahat magluluto hehhee,, he can cook leche flan, afritada or caldereta, embutido, graham cake, pancit at spaghetti all in hehehe,,

Mag lilipat bahay ba kayo? last stage ng packing namin ito sa previous house namin. almost empty na ang room,,, hehehe,,

All About Lippie

Don't you love pink? i love pink, all shades of them, but since I am morena I prevent to wear pink on my lips, kaso nga lang may pagka stubborn ako, gandang ganda ako pag nakikita ko sa iba, kaya I told myself I have to try it, eh my problem was I am not expert on make-ups buti na lang to the rescue si Google and I was introduced to MAC Pink Noveau, the first time I used it ay bagay din pala sa morena, kaso nga lang nagbubuo sya sa lips ko, I asked Ms. Kendz of Mrs. Kendz' beauty blog and she told me use to lip balm before applying the lipstick, and another tip is to apply lip balm before going to sleep, effective nga sya, kasi very soft and smooth ang lips ko sa morning.

This is the lip balm I use every night and before i apply my lipstick,  will surely buy again and again. =)

While at the store, the sales person suggested me to get myself a lip gloss, and she picked this Cremesheen Glass Lip Gloss, and such a nice choice for Pink Noveau, perfect combination.

Foodie Review: Chocolate Origin Cake

Are you a choco addict like me? You will be more than satisfied on this cake, for me this is the best chocolate cake I've ever tasted, so soft and thick, not so sweet, it seems like there's no sponge in it because of the richness of chocolate, it feels like heaven the moment I put a piece of it inside my mouth, everybody at home loves it. Chocolate origin has two flavors, they have original and dark (bitter) I am lucky because I had both, the dark flavor is not so bitter actually I like it better just for a thought that it is healthier so not to feel guilty of intaking sugar and calories.
Just for comparison, I can say that Chocolate Origin Cake is a lot better than Awfully Chocolate cake.
