Happy weekend everyone!!!

How will you spend your weekend?

Me and my husband just spent an hour in the pool, and just finished our lunch, we decided to stay and relax at home today and maybe end our night again swimming. We love swimming, aside from we get to bond with each other we can also get to exercise.
Weekend is also the time that I can read a lot, books, blogs and also I can able to visit N@W group page.

I knew Jenni Epperson's blog from Sharon Cuneta's website, Jenni is a good friend of KC, she featured Sharon's cooking in her blog, since then I am an avid reader from her multiply until she moved to her new blog. I like her kasi hindi sya maarte, her style is amazingly fabulous, I admire how she handles her time being a mom, wife, friend and a career woman. When she launched her book I told to myself I should have a copy of it, during my 8 days vacation in the Philippines,it was in my itinerary to go to National Bookstore to buy, and before I flew back to Singapore, as soon as the Mall opens I hurriedly go and buy.
Aside from I know I will learn a lot from it, I also want to support her being I am a fan, this is just my way of giving back her generosity. I love everything about the book, from cover to cover is fabglamtastic!!!

Happy Tuesday everyone!!!

I spent my whole yesterday searching and reading about Boracay and it made me more excited in planning our trip this year ( May *praying hard*). It is in my to do list this year to go to Boracay, I've never been there and it is my wish for a long time. Last year, I chose Hongkong over Boracay because that time we planned really late and the accomodation and airfare going to the Philippines were really expensive, plus the fact that most of the hotels were fully booked since it was holiday ( May 1).
I am not yet decided where to stay there so if you have any suggestions for hotels and restaurants kindly message me here.

Im so excited for Boracay and im hoping that we can really go there this May, ( thinking positively)

Delsey

I met Delsey when Mark was in Thailand and I had to visit him, I dont have a small luggage so Mark told me to buy one for this trip, we prefer good quality even if we have to add a few $ than spending to cheaper and won't last, na ang ending is we will spend more on buying a replacement, yun yung way of thinking namin parehas, to add on that I dont settle dun sa second choice, I will save even if I will wait for months or years just to get what I really wanted para walang regrets sa huli. Anyway, Mark that time asked me to buy a Samsonite, tried and tested na din kasi namin saka di namin afford ang Rimowa, so days before my trip I was looking for pasalubong to him and a small luggage, between me and Mark ako yung kuripot hehehe,, then the saleslady introduced Delsey to me, since then I fell in love with it, very reliable,durable, and light and stylish, up to now I am still using that luggage, and we even bought another one.

I bought the brown delsey last 2009 and the red one was in 2010, both are still in good condition.

Weigh In

Suprisingly, I lost 0.5 kg when I weighed myself after my vacation, it serves as motivation to me to continue eating less rice, ang tendency kasi if i didnt monitor my eating habits at nag gain ako ng weight or nabawi ko yung nawala I get tired and start na naman ako. What motivates me today?

- valentines day is coming, I want to give my husband a prettier and slimmer date.

- Summer na!!!

- We are planning to celebrate our wedding anniversary in a beach,, (crossed fingers)
I am now looking for a nice hotel, it would be our first time to go there that's why i am having hard time to decide, tapos peak season pa ang May kaya we consider din ang budget for accomodation, yung di gaanong mahal.

Every Sunday we check our weight and we have a table for that so that we can monitor if we lose or we gain.

It's 3rd day of Love Month, ang bilis talaga ng araw.
I just came back from an 8 days vacation in the Philippines, Mark wasn't able to join me on this trip because of his passport, (dont worry hon let's pray that our planned trip in May will push through). I was happy at the same time worried because of Mark, ang hirap ng hinahatid nya ako sa airport, pero bawi naman nung sinundo nya ako. This trip was really for my Inay's birthday and a treat for myself na din so that I can relax a bit from work. Sobrang bonding talaga with my Family, everybody knew that when I was younger kung nasan ang Inay kasama ako, at ganun ulit kami during my stay there, kahit sa banyo tuloy ang kwentuhan,, hehehe. That's why it was hard for me when I had to leave again for Singapore. On my way to Manila, while exchanging SMS with Inay sobrang iyak ako.

Yesterday morning when I woke up, eto eksena:

Me: ( I was looking at Mark and I thought he is my brother, i woke him up and asked) Asan ang inay?

Mark: huh?

Me: ( hindi p din matino ang gising, i asked him again) Asan nga ang inay?

Mark: hon, andito k na sg hehehe

Me: ( pahiya,,, went back to sleep)

Up to now, mark is joking about it.

I miss home already!!!

Summary of my 2011

My heart is full of gratitude for 2011, there might be some mishaps but all in all it was a great year for me.

* Me and my husband celebrated Media Noche together, it was already a great blessing from God.

And also January last year we decided to get our own small space for us when we are in the Philippines, as of now the construction is on going, one more year and we can have the key of the unit. We will be busy looking for a nice interiors and furniture hunting, as early as now Mark is looking for a great design, I already had an idea of what I want for our bedroom and kitchen.

* February is indeed a LOVE month!!!

Flowers from Mark on Heart's day

I was able to spend quality time with my Inay, she and my sister in law and her family were here.

* March was when I got interviewed and hired by my present company, that was when a good opportunities were offered to me, I learned that I should aim higher and not to be contented of what I am getting for the effort and hardwork I was giving to my ex-company.

* It was a dream come true in April last year, it was my long time dream to go to Hongkong, and since we can't celebrate our wedding anniversary we celebrated it in advance.

* New environment, new friends and career advancement in May =)

and our 4th year wedding anniversary!!! 5 months na lang pala ulit anniv na ulit namin,,, =)

* June and July was all about work ( araw araw overtime ako dito, sometimes I came home 12 midnight from work at Saturday and Sunday were mostly spent at the office, Mark was kawawa waiting for me the whole day at home)

* August when I visited China, it was a work related trip, wish ko lang for pleasure yun, I was away from hubby for 24 lonely and exhausted days =D,,, Ang hirap kasi work work work talaga, my daily routine was breakfast at the hotel with the same food (sobrang pihikan ko sa pagkain kaya gutom ang abot ko) sausage and puto, then the company transport will pick us to send us to office, then working until 9pm, transport will send us again to hotel from office, pag may energy pa ako at may kasama pa I will walk 3 blocks to grab a meal from KFC (wahh I love KFC there kesa dito sa sg) My chinese colleagues were back to SG earlier than me kaya sobrang hirap din for me because of language barrier, kahit pag order sa KFC point point lang sa picture.

This month also when we were reunited with our college friends, they moved in to our house day before I arrived in SG from this trip.

* Happy Birthday to Me ( I love September simply because it is my birthday month) =)

* October is my hubby's birthday month naman,,, I am more than a month older than him.

* November when we moved to a new house, bigger, convenient and nice place =)

* Spent Christmas at home away from home,,, SG is our second home, hopefully next year we can go home for Christmas in the Philippines.

Happy Sunday Everyone!!!

I was thinking of blogging about my 2011 happenings the other day but I was too tired to do, and part of my 2012 promises is to sleep earlier than before and to prevent that I have to resist of not opening my laptop at night, I will post a separate entry for that, now let me share to you what I am aiming for this year. How about you do you have any goals to do this year?

A lot of blessings were showered on me last year and this year I continue to open my arms to receive all the blessings from God. I don't usually make new year's resolution but this year I want to try, because I am now convinced that it really helps to improve oneself, and by making one is a good sign of acceptance, accepting that everyone needs improvement.

Let's see what I want to improve on my life this year before

* I want to go to church more frequent, I think this is the most important thing to do, I have to improve my spiritual life, last year due to my hectic schedule and tiredness from my stressful work I always make excuses on going to church and telling myself that I pray a lot and my faith on HIM is very strong, so now no more alibis.

* As I said from my first paragraph, I want to sleep earlier than before, I tried to do it this week at ang sarap ng feeling.

* I will eat more healthy foods like vegetables and fruits, i will try to consume less or to avoid fattening foods like chocolates, pork, sweets and rice, ( i have chocolates right beside my bed (LoL) and I am successful on ignoring it, I am thinking nga to throw it na lang, ayoko naman ipakain kay Mark kasi conscious na din sya sa weight nya. (Palagi kasi akong nagpapromise to lose weight the passed years pero di ko naman natutupad kaya nirevise ko na lang ngayon hopefully effective)

* I will allot more time on reading books, there's a lot of good books to read kaso I still have 1 pending book na nagiintay sa akin sa bookshelf, but I ask my friend who will go to Philippines this month to buy me Fashion + Food by Jenni Epperson, sobrang fan nya ako e, kaya im so excited on this.

* Vanity!!! Gusto kong maging vain ngayong year, I am lazy kasi to apply creams on my face pero this year I want to take care of myself, health and beauty wah need kitang iimprove. hahaha!!!

* Save Save Save $$$!!!! I want to save more this year, madami akong gusto e but I will try not to be an impulsive buyer, I want to save a lot of $$$,, basta magpapaka frugal ako this year.

* I want to go to Bohol or Boracay this year, kakaiba di ba next sya sa promise ko to Save,, hehehe, but I think it is necessary naman to enjoy part of your savings, hindi ung save lang ng save,, at nakaplano yan hehehe,, maybe on our anniversary, justifiable naman kasi may occasion, saka nagpapaka frugal ako nyan hehehe sa halip na parehas sila mamimili lang ako sa kanilang dalawa.

* I want to improve my patience,, hahaha!! I always hear this when I was preparing our wedding "dont sweat on small stuff" I want to apply that on my daily life, smile, be nice and don't stress out too much on something that is not really important, what important is good relationship on people around me.

* I want to be a better wife to my husband, more talks and I want to understand him more, and learn more about his likes and dislikes. I want to be more sensitive about his feelings, and to be more expressive as well. Mas expressive kasi sya kesa sa akin, so from now I want to show him that I am thankful for him,, aba it is nice that there is someone aside from my mother who appreciates my beauty even if me myself think I am not,, LoL

* I want to be a better daughter and sister to my family. I was able to give love to others because of the love they've showed me, all the things I've learned is because they taught me the values that made me who I am today, for that I am truly grateful for them.

For now, ito muna, I hope each day I learn to accept other aspect that needs attention to enhance to have a better 2012.

Christmas Gift from Hubby

I hope you had a Christmas filled with joy and love and as the year ends may we all leave behind the not so happy memories of this year and let us welcome the new year with pure heart, peaceful mind and more love and understanding and may we all believe and hope for a brighter and happier new year.

This year I think is the busiest Christmas I had, we prepare for everything unlike in the Philippines where my parents or my grandparents are the one who will think about everything, now I realized I am already grown up. It was also fun even we are away from home, ako basta my family is happy I am happy. Since we are all busy, I didnt have much drama moments, konti lang hehehe,, that was when I tried to call my family and I chose to call my brother's cp since I know my Inay was busy, my brother was very madrama din like me, what I like about him is that he never ask for anything (material) even if its Christmas and normal yung hihingi ng pamasko but my brother and my parents are not that type, they are very simple and whatever I gave them they are very appreciative,, that's why I love them so much. My brother just greeted us Merry Christmas and he was thankful for us, and later on he sent a SMS saying that he wished we were with them for Noche Buena,, wahhh I cried.

I was not in the mood to work last week, I hate it that during holidays that's the time that my work was loaded, as in overtime ako everyday since the week before Christmas, I was exhausted na talaga. Then last Thursday I decided that I have to go off from work early to buy gifts for my monito which happened to be Mark and for my friends, I already told Mark that he was the one I picked for our monito/monita and told him I am going to buy him shoes, but in my mind I have a plan to buy other items for him, I had a feeling that Mark picked me as his monita because he never tell me who his monito was, as in one day he will tell my girl friend name then when I asked him the next day he will tell different name.
That night he wanted to go to MBS, so we went then later on he told to go inside LV store in Maison and ask me what I want, I really dont want to buy anything that is expensive but he insist, I really enjoyed asking prices and even if they are beautiful but for me it's too much if the price of the bag is more than 1k sgd. I just bought a shoes for him and checked other shops like gucci, coach and burberry but the prices were almost the same, I knew ffrom then that Mark was going to buy me a bag as christmas present, I told him I want a bag but not too expensive, he can buy me from coach and then we went home.
The next day Friday, I took a day off, Mark went to work, I sent remittance to my family and his family then I went out to buy him gifts, I have a budget and I will not buy single item for that budget, I want to buy few items for him and wrapped them altogether. He was very happy, here's my gift for him: Versace perfume (we both love versace), a samsonite bag, 2 Lacoste Poloshirts ( I had a great deal for this one 50% off for the 2nd item) and a Jordan shoes.
And here's what I got from hubby

I am a happy wife,, not only because of this bag but because I have a husband who always think of my happiness, love is not about material things, but his willingness to spend this much just for a bag and the smile on his face when he handed me his present that made me feel that I am loved, we've been together for more that 10 years and he knew I am not a materialistic type of person, dumaan talaga ako sa walang wala and simple lang ang kaligayahan ko, may adobo nga lang sa bahay masaya na ako, wala na din sya dapat patunayan sa akin , he doesn't need to impress me that's why I can't think of any reason why he had to do this for me but LOVE.

My Grown up Christmas List

Another night in front of my laptop, and I can't help to miss the Christmas at home. I want to hear again the children singing christmas carols at night, the malls full of christmas decors and filled with christmas songs, the many people buying gifts for their loved ones, I miss the busy divisoria, and most of all I miss my family =(
I really wish to be with them this Christmas, ;-( im sure my inay misses me so much, she always say that basta kumpleto ang pamilya masaya na sya, no money can buy happiness, and hindi sya materialistic na tao. I wish I am like her, a very strong loving woman.

Forget my drama now and let's enjoy the remaining days till Christmas. Our menu for noche buena are all settled, we will serve Palabok, Paella, Carbonara, Menudo, Embutido, Leche Flan, Buko SAlad and Macaroni Salad. We invited our friends here to celebrate with us. So this year will somehow a happy Christmas even if we are away from HOME.

Count your blessings instead of sheep

The other night while I was playing Sims on facebook, I thought of playing Christmas songs from my saved files, there was this song by Jose Mari Chan that touched my heart, the message of the song is really perfect for the season, that no matter what state of your life now dont focus on what is lacking but think of the wonderful blessings that we have in our lives from our Lord.
Eto pa yung nakakatawa, nung nakikinig na kami ng Christmas songs, sabi ni Mark "hon wag ka iiyak sa Pasko ha" palagi daw kasi ako umiiyak pag Christmas especially di kami uuwi ngayon, ewan ko ba I feel lonely lalo na pag tumutugtog na yung mga Christmas songs.

But with this song, it reminds me that Christmas is not about me, not about the christmas shopping list, not about the food we will serve on Noche Buena but it is about Thanksgiving that our Lord was born, it is all about sharing and giving of God's love.
So now I am sharing you this song and hope you will be moved by its message.

I also love this song of Gary V. everytime I hear this song I really appreciate my life and God's unconditional love to me.

SObrang iyakin ako, ewan ko ba many times I get affected by what I saw from movies and tv and also from the songs I heard. Last Friday, I took a day off from work, I was too stressed that week so i decided to take a rest, Mark also stayed with me, I saw a video from Coke and it really melted my heart, as in I was sobbing while I was watching this video, Mark was teasing me and he even imitate my crying.

I know how it's hard to be an OFW, to be away from family, from our comfort zone our home, i truly understand the real meaning of this saying that there's no place like HOME. I am super close to my family, that's why when it comes to my family I get really emotional. Sometimes I want to look back from the moment wherein everything is just plain and simple, we sleep together (my inay, ama, my brother and me) and even the lights were off we never run out of stories to tell until it was 3 am, and the only problem that time is the allowance I will bring to manila when I was in college, I miss those days. Now that I am working far away from home, and experience everything I never thought I will ever do and to have a little luxury, I am not complaining really, I am grateful. God loves me and my family. He is forever faithful on His promises to me. I am very fortunate becauseI am His daughter.

15 days to go and it's Christmas, hope you celebrate it with full of love and happiness with your family (or even physically away from your family). Remember the first line of the song, "when I worry and I can't sleep, I count my blessings instead of sheep"

Christmas in my Heart

We are not yet done on decorating our Christmas tree but I am excited to share it here. Christmas is just around the corner and I'm getting busier each day. A little sad because we will not get to celebrate Christmas with our family that's why I am doing whatever I can just to ease that sadness. As for today, I am planning for our menu for noche buena and media noche, I asked my N@w sisters and they have a lot of suggestions, now I am looking for a small chocolate fountain, i also want sana plates na Christmas yung theme, and I think macarons are perfect for media noche, it is round and sweet, but I want it to be set up like I saw from Bizu.

Kuishin Bo

We are now at our new house with our friends, we looooveee it here. This place is nearer to the mrt station, we haven't enjoy the amenities yet as we are still busy fixing our things.
Anyways, this was supposedly just after Mark's bday, but being a food lover I just can't ignore to post this.

Instead of cooking at home, we decided to treat our friends in Kuishin Bo, I was looking for a good buffet which is not too pricey, so i chose Kuishin Bo, at first we were hesitant because we haven't been there, hubby went there earlier just to check if the food is ok.
All in all, we love it there, the staff are all our kababayans, as we enter the restaurant the desserts welcomed us.

Champ weekend

At this moment I am sitting outside the comfort room where this mall placed a bench which serves as waiting area. I am waiting for Mark because my feet are aching, I wore for the first time the sandals which I bought on 50% off sale, as usual he is in toy section, we never miss to go to toy section here in Takashimaya whenever we are here.

Its pretty but Im sure I will use it very seldom or will not use it again, I still love my fitflop very comfy and durable.

Yesterday me, my husband and our friends jaz and vice went to MBS mall and our generous and loving husbands bought a Longchamp bag for us, jaz and i are very lucky wives. : )

Next month is uber busy month for us as we are going to move to a new house, i will still find time to blog for next month adventures, : )

Teh Tarik

Honestly, last Monday was my first time to experience Teh Tarik even if it is very famous here in Singapore and even if I am here for more than 4 years.
After making my stomach full of delicious food, I finally try the Teh Tarik instead of the usual coffee.

I am proud because staffs in The Line are mostly Filipino, we are admired for our attitude at work and good customer service, we are the best.

To My Man, Happy Birthday

It's my hubby's 30th birthday last Monday, I took a day off from work and spend it with the most special man in my life. It was just a simple celebration but full of laughters and we really enjoyed that day. I bought our breakfast in Mc Donalds and before we leave the house hubby cook pancit its a tradition for us to cook pancit or spaghetti for long life, there was a cake also para long and sweet life.

My husband loves watch so I gifted him a watch from Swatch, I already made a reservation for his birthday dinner in The Line Shangri-la Hotel. This beautiful flower arrangement welcomed us as we arrived in the lobby.

As expected we really enjoyed the night, the food, and I am happy that my husband is very easy to please. Many will say that we are not getting any younger and at this time we should have a baby for us to be happy. I pray, we actually praying for that wonderful blessings from God, but who we are to question His plans for us, everything in our life now is great, we are happy and if others think that we are not, I'll show you how me and my husband enjoying our life.

It doesn't mean I don't want a baby, I do, I really do, there was a time I cried because of frustration and pressure to have one, but now, I have this faith and trust to the Lord that in His time He will give us children for us to love and take care of.

Most of the time the things that are just there for us are the ones we take for granted.
For those who have the same work as I do, it's always a must for me, i need it everyday and really a great help for me, Ive been using it since high school and up to now we have a good relationship, whatever problems we encounter, we solve it as a team. Thank you for always there to help, for never giving up especially when i messed up, most importantly I graduated with your help and up to now you are there for me to earn money.

Goodbye September, Hello October

September was a great month for me, aside from it is my birthday month, my work last month is very light means not so much pressure on me. I enjoyed staying at home as we are now together with my college friends, everything is ok at home, we have the same wave length that's why we understand each other and we really adjusted well unlike before that me and my husband preferred to stay outside than home.

I am also looking forward that this month will also be ok for us, Mark is turning 30 on October 24, I still dont know what to give him on his birthday, he always say that being together is more than enough for him, but I still have to make his day extra special =)

Our house hunting is over, we found the perfect place for us to stay, we are just waiting for the signed documents then we can move in on November. The rental price here in Singapore is very high now, that's why we signed a 2 year contract for the new one, to ensure that we will not be affected for any rental increase.

Thank God, all is well!!!

Last month I sent an email to Ms. Samantha Sotto to ask her if there is a plan for her to visit Singapore, to my surprise she really replied to my email, being a fan I am so kilig when I received an email from her.

When she confirmed the date through her facebook fan page I told my husband that I can't miss the opportunity to meet her and to give my support, as a Filipino I am really proud of her.

She is very pretty and very nice to everyone. She even hugged me!!!

Weeks before my birthday I was very scared that I may not able to spend it with my hubby, and my only birthday wish was to be home on my birthday. I worked hard, worked long hours just to be home on schedule, Thank God my wish was granted, I'm home 4 days before my birthday.

I love my birthday just as much as I love Christmas, both are same about life, love and celebrations and thanksgiving, and I appreciate my family, my husband, my relatives and friends even more.

I admitted the fact that I am not artistic and creative, I love arts and I know how to appreciate the beauty of arts. Nowadays a lot of people I know and everywhere I go have DSLR camera, which price of the camera and different lenses were already a fortune for me. When I was a kid we dont have camera, we had one but I think that one was a disposable camera which was just a gift from my aunt, for especial occasions like bdays, christmas we just borrowed from my grandparents which was hidden in my mamay's baul.

Crazy Stupid LOVE

Well,, Im finally back,, I went to a place where facebook, youtube and blogger is non existing (which always includes in my daily life here in SG). It was a 24 days of being away to my husband and all those days were all about work, I only went to mall nearby the hotel I was checked in. It was really a struggle for me to be away to my comfort zone, comfort food and being a total stranger in a place wherein I cant speak and understand any single word.
I checked out in the hotel at 5:00 pm on Sept 2, and reached Changi Airport at 5:00 am on Sept 3. My husband was there to fetched me and he even prepared my requested food "afritada" , I was happy also that my friends from college were already moved in and now we are altogether sharing the same house.
After some eating and chit chat, my husband and I went out to watch Crazy Stupid Love, I was got curious because it was trending in N@W. It was really nice movie,, it was light comedy romance, and even it was light romance I still cried, its like it really happening to any couple who'd been very familiar with each other. My husband and I been married for 4 years and we've been together for 10 years in total, and we admit that there were times that there were phases in our relationship when we felt that we were just complacent that we are just there, there were dull moments also but I am happy that we were able to worked things out and we were always get back to the right path of our marriage.

After watching the movie, my husband kept saying that we were soulmates, and that anyone should work hard to be with their soulmate just like what he did to his soulmate, now we are happily together, growing and enjoying with each other. =)

Fun Run/Walk

Last month despite of being busy with work, we participated the Trifactor Run which was held last month, we joined the 5Km Fun Run with our friends Jaz and Vice, it was really fun and catching up with them.
I am actually big, my weight is an old issue already, its really hard to lose weight, especially now that I ate rice everyday, and having cinnamon melts from mcdo as my dessert made me bigger and bigger. I know its not impossible to have my desired body weight as many of the participants who joined the fun run were really physically fit and healthy,, I really salute them and how I wish I have the same determination and courage as them.

I had a wonderful time yesterday with Hubby, I got free movie tickets for X-Men First Class and Kung Fu Panda 2 courtesy of our company. It was really fun seeing my co workers having wonderful time with their family. I can say now that I am happy in terms of my career eventhough I do overtime everyday and I am physically and mentally tired but I am emotionally happy. I am inspired to work everyday. I never felt this kind of feeling on my previous company basta before kasi everytime I woke up I dont feel like going to work. Everything is going smoothly, my prayers were answered and I thank God for pouring all the blessings on me, I've prayed this for long and God said to wait, I've waited and now I am happy and grateful.

Disneyland Adventure

Anniversary DInner

Last Tuesday marked our 4th year wedding anniversary, since I am just new to my work, we celebrated it early. We cooked for our friends last Sunday because we want to save the actual date just for the two of us, these friends were all present on our wedding last year that's why it's a simple act of saying thank you to them and catching up with them also.
Week before our wedding anniversary, I was occupied with my work, I had to do overtime everyday, in fact I worked on Saturday, I am very exhausted because we have to prepare and cook food for the next day (Sunday), after my work we went to supermarket to buy ingredients and reached home about 11 pm.
I just prepare the leche flan then I fell asleep on the sofa while hubby did everything, im a so proud wifey, he steamed the leche flan (45 mins), he prepared and steamed the embutido (1.5hours), he also prepared the meat and ingredients for caldereta, everything was done at about 4:30, then the next day he cooked the caldereta and pancit bihon,, yum yum!!! It was a tiring but fun day,,
Fortunately, our anniversary was declared as a public holiday here in Singapore (vesak day), I told Mark that I just want to rest the whole day and we'll just have our dinner outside.

HK-Macau Advance Wedding Anniversary Celebration

Day after my last day from my work, my husband and I flew to Hongkong via Singapore Airlines A380, my hubby packed our things ( he's good in packing). We were early in the airport and took kulitan shots hehhee,,

We arrive on time in HK, bought our ferry ticket to Macau, im happy that there's a wifi in HKIA, I was able to connect with my friends in facebook.
When we reached the Macau Ferry Terminal we walked to the other side of the road where the free shuttle bus of Venetian is waiting.

I posted our hotel room pics in my previous post , we enjoyed our stay in this hotel. There's a new hotel to be launched in front of Venetian named as Galaxy, we would probably stay in this hotel in our next visit in Macau (if we can afford it just for experience) .

Wait for us Hongkong

It is my long time wish to go to Hongkong to visit the so called happiest place on earth Disneyland and meet Mickey and Minnie, it is always on our to-do list but due to work and other priorities, the plan remains only a plan.
We will be celebrating our wedding anniversary next month, our initial plan was to hit the beautiful beach of Boracay since it is summer, but it is impossible for me to take few days leave for our aaniversary as I will be starting on my new work on May 3, our next option was to book a 2 night stay in Marina Bay Sands just for a weekend before our anniversary but we can not maximize our stay if we will check in on Saturday and will check out early Monday morning as we have both need to go to work, then Mark suggested that we better celebrate it before I start to work, we crossed out Boracay because we knew that it is too crowded days before Labour Day, so it is Hongkong for us,,,yey!!!
I checked jetstar but the price is high, then I looked for cebu pacific and to my dismay the prices were higher than jetstar, we were about to book for jetstar but my fingers started to type Singapore Airlines, surprisingly they were offering a great deal for us, the 2 to go promo, the price we got was almost the same of Jetstar,,, but with the services we will get it is really a great deal.
The next thing we did was to find for our accomodation, we wanted to stay at Disneyland Hotel (as it will be convenient for us if we stay first to Disneyland Hotel on our first day then transfer to a cheaper hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui area or nearby) but there is no available room, so sad...so I changed our itinerary (i hope i am doing a right thing) from Hongkong International Airport we'll go straight to Macau wherein we booked a 1 night stay at The Venetian Macao-Resort Hotel, (big smile).
We'll be back to Hongkong on our second day of our trip, this time we book Cosmo Kowloon Hotel, Mark spent the whole night till 5 am to find the best hotel for us, (best means affordable, nice/clean, and accessible), I am not expecting too much on this hotel but I am still hopeful that it will exceeds my expectation (hehehe).
We are very excited on this trip, can't wait for next week,,, yehey!!!

I am always looking forward for weekends, im sure all of us do, yihee!!!

Weekend means going to city for a sumptuous dinner, late movie, simple shopping, which also means a lot of talkings with my hubby, more quality time with him, more sleeping time, and coffee and cheesecake, more time with facebook, blogs chatting, can watch tv till 3 am it's "SHOWTIME", church time, wet market, grocery time, a lot of cuddling and hugging, ang daming pwedeng gawin noh,, basta sobrang sarap ng weekend.

Since Mark is busy for his new toy, I enjoyed my "ME" time last Saturday. After we ate our lunch, I went to CITISPA to inquire for a facial treatment, while Mark proceed to HOME FIX. Fortunately, they can accomodate me even if I don't have an appointment. It feels good after the facial, my face feels smooth, clean and relax. I dont wear make up, I am lazy on applying creams on my face, i just wash my face with a facial scrub, and I am using CY GRABIEL for my face and body.
I realized I'll be 30 in a few months (ouch!!!) so I became conscious about myself, ang taba ko na nga ang pangit ko pa hehhee,, now I am taking care of my face, I drink more water now (I always drinnk Ice tea and juices, ayoko kasi ng tubig walang lasa), i am avoiding oily foods, (good for my skin and for my weight hehhee).

I am kinda confused what brand to use, I read a lot of different brands, I dont know which one is the best, for now I am using L'Oreal day and night cream, I am also using eye cream from L'Oreal.

How about you, what brand are you using? How does it works with you? Any recommendations? =)

Summer na!!!

Summer is already here, and I haven't got a body ready for swimsuit wehehehe!!! I am slowly losing weight, proudly to say that I gave up pork for the whole month of March clap clap clap for me!!! Anyways, I got a new job, I asked my new employer if I can start 2nd week of May ( i was thinking to have our summer outing before I start on my new job) but they said they need me to start on May 3, (i am not complaining hehehe) so I have to postpone our summer trip =(

Because I am beautiful (hahaha!!!) I am using BEAUTY by Calvin Klein. I love perfumes, especially the floral scents. I was not supposed to buy perfume because I am saving for a bag (hehehe). Whenever I go to mall I always look for new realeased perfumes then I saw this BEAUTY, I compared the price of the perfume and I am having second thoughts because with the price I just need to top up some more to have a new bag (Longchamp). The saleslady is very nice and she was offering good deals with lots of freebies, and this BEAUTY comes with a free tote bags weee!!!

My emotions are high since last week, I received a call last Wednesday for a job interview, I was so nervous and excited, even Mark was also very supportive, he didn’t work last Friday to give his support and to make me calm. My present company gave me an opportunity to work here in Singapore and be with my hubby and I am grateful for that, I’ve been here for 3 years and 8 months, I have experienced and learned a lot, but I felt I’ve grown here already and I need to experience and learn more on this field I am in.
The interview went fine, I was worried and tensed but Mark was very positive about it.
After my interview Mark treated me out, I am not in the mood to shop but I think he knew I needed it to relax, and I did hehehe.
I was at the office waiting for a call, I was praying every minute of the day, the day was ending and I haven’t received any call I was a bit sad and disappointed but I held my hopes high, then at 5:30 pm I was getting ready to go home when I got a call from the HR… so happy I am… I GOT THE JOB!!!!

I saw in the news that supermoon will appear today at 2 oclock in the morning, mark was asleep the whole afternoon until late night, when he was finally awake at around 10pm I told him I want to go outside to see the supermoon, we had our dinner first then watched showtime, when it was past 1 oclock am we went to the playground, the moon was so bright and beautiful, I've searched that supermoon appears every 18 years.

This year marks our 10th year together as a couple, Mark got my "YES" on the phone on July 14, 2001 he was on his way to his hometown to attend his sister's 18th birthday, but we made it official the day he came back to school from Mindoro on July 17, 2011, we were classmates and we became close in the last sem of our second year in college, I didnt know that he has a crush on me, we get closer when we were in our third year, he was always on my side, but I am not aware of his intention, I really treat him as a good friend. I remember one time I have a problem (school problem) he asked me to sit in one of the benches in Luneta (it is opposite of our school and where I am waiting for a jeepney to send me home) and he wanted to solve my problem, but that night I ended up talking about myself, my dreams, my favorites, my heartaches instead of discussing my problem, honestly that whole time I felt at peace and forgot whatever it is that bothers me. Before that may I add that he will rode the same jeepney going to my dormitory and he insisted that it is the nearest route going to his home without me knowing that he just wanted me to send home. When the time he told me his feeling for me, I made myself distant to him, I felt betrayed, but he still pursue me even if almost everyday I refused his love,I really admire his perseverance, he loves me when I was not loveable, when I am being hard on him, he never gave up and continued to offer his love. It was a test actually if he is true to me or not, I believe then to the saying "Hard to get, hard to forget", I want to test him how far he can go with me, how much his patience, and how much he loves me, because I knew as we grew older a lot of trials will come our way and I want someone who is strong enough to stand beside me, someone who will never leave me. True enough we surpassed all the trials we had in our relationships, we supported each other and became partners in every problems we encountered, we dream together and we are hand in hand fulfilling our dreams.
When Mark had an opportunity to work abroad he asked for my hand in marriage and I agreed, God is really good to us, He knew we can't stand to be far from each other, God made it possible for me to work here in Singapore. After three years of being married, Mark fulfilled his promise to marry me in my dream church, wearing a bridal gown (I was just happy to wear a simple white gown but Mark gave me the best and my heart desire, to be a Veluz bride), expressing his love in front of God and all those important people in our lives. We are really blessed to found each other, there's always trying times in life but I will face it with a smile because someone is holding my hand and giving me assurance that everything will be okay.

Last Monday hubby and I took an afternoon off from work, we were busy these past few weeks, my mother and Sil's vacation here and a week after my bestfriend also came here.
We really had a great time, lots of laughters and conversations, communication is not a problem for us because we love to talk and talk and talk, but sometimes that petty talks lead to minor arguments hehehe. I told Mark that I miss what we were doing that very moment, because for the past weeks we were with our loved ones and we were not focus on ourselves, dont get me wrong, I really love every single moment my mom, SIl and bestfriend spent with us its just that maybe I missed our time alone together because in our normal and everyday life it is only US (me and hubby).
I told Mark that I want to try Paella in Serenity so from Orchard we headed to Vivo City to have our dinner there. We enjoyed the food, one of the best for me,,, on our way there I am very excited I said, hon sarap daw paella dun and masarap din siguro tapa nila,, hehehe when its our time to order I am looking for beef tapa (Filipino tapa) hehehe,, iba pala ung Tapas na sinasabi dun hehehe,, sorry inosente eh,, hehehe,,

This year I promise myself not to buy unnecessary things because I am saving for our home and travel plans. But last week me and Inay went to Louis Vuitton store, it's her first time to set foot inside LV, she was amazed of all the nice things inside, I showed her what bag I am dreaming of, but also told her I am not going to buy it because i need to save more money, (hubby introduced me to LV, and made me realized that I too can have one or two, that it was possible,,, thank you hon)and the price of it is way expensive for me but still I can't get it off my mind.

I really miss my family back home, being away from them is heartbreaking but hearing their voices make me feel better and relieved. I call my family everyday and that makes me scared to look at my phone bill whenever it comes. HOw I wish I have a lot of money so that I can call them without limitations and without worrying of my phone bill. LOVE month, yehey, and I found something that will make my February sweeter =)
I love chocolates but I am not really a fan of Cadbury, but last Sunday I fell in love with this KOKO, it is Cadbury’s Truffle Collection consists of 3 flavors, Milk Truffle, Hazelnut Truffle and Almond Truffle. My favorite is the Milk Truffle, I love the filling, very smooth and the sweetness of it is just right for me.

By the way my Inay is here, she came with my sister in law and her family last night. My happiness is overflowing, I love being with her, just like when I was younger, I am happy for having such a wonderful relationship with my Inay, I love her so much!

Just another lazy night, I am too tired to cook, tired is the appropriate word than lazy, I am emotionally, mentally and physically exhausted from work and from home, hubby is not feeling well last night and up to this moment, my brother is sick since last week, we were worried because we thought he;s infected by dengue fever, after a few tests, he was cleared to dengue, there are rashes all over his face, and the doctor concluded that the rashes were caused by measles. Inay was supposed to be here on Tuesday but we decided to rebook her ticket until my brother is ok.
The best reliever from stress aside from hubby is a nice dinner, we dined in Pastamania, the carbonara is very creamy, one of the best I tasted here in Singapore.

Today hubby and I had our haircut, footspa and pedicure, =) after that we headed to Paragon to buy this colorful, awesome and yummy macarons. I am craving for this for almost a week, and I am so happy that my weekend ends with it.

Our Future Home

I have discussed this from my previous post, after a long time of waiting, searching and thinking, we have decided to get our own place whenever we are in the Philippines. At first we thought of getting a house and lot near Manila, because we knew that properties in Manila area are very expensive our option is to get to a nearby like Laguna or Cavite, but we are leaning towards Laguna because it is nearer to Batangas and Quezon. But since we really planned to have our real home in my hometown Candelaria Quezon, we acquired a 700 sq.m lot, we are thinking of maximizing the space and designing it on our own preference without following a pattern just like houses in subdivision. I am lucky for having such understanding husband for allowing to build our house near my parents, he knew how I love my parents and how close I am to my family, relatives, cousins, uncles and aunties. Anyways, I'll be waiting for ? years to finally have that dream house,, hehehe,, for now, what we need is our own space to stay whenever we have a short vacation in the Philippines, and a place to transfer some of our things here in Singapore, the most convenient for us is a condo unit, what we need should be in the south, it should be near manila area or easy access to Manila, I dont like high rise bldg so we opted for a midrise only, Siena Park passed all this criteria. Thanks to our friend Delo who is working at DMCI for helping us in making our decision.
It is a pre-selling 2 bedroom unit, we need to wait for 2 years for us to move in, not that big but just right for us. I am very excited to decorate it, time flies too fast we'll never notice that 2 years have already passed.

My Inay dear is coming over before the end of this month,, yiheeee!!! I was looking earlier if there is any promotions but there is none since my Inay's flight will be in 2 weeks and all promo tickets were sold out. It was a great deal from Cebu Pacific, the ticket costs me 245sgd only, budget airlines help OFW like me to come home and be with the family whenever we like and whenever we need, without getting a big chunk from our savings.
Cebu Pacific has improved their service, I remember 5-6 years ago I experienced a delayed flight from Bacolod to Manila, it was really disappointing, that time they really have this reputation of being always delay on their flights , but so far I haven't experience it whenever I fly from SG-Manila or Manila-SG.
I'm so excited to be bonded again with my Inay, and I can't wait to taste her especialties, she cooks the best adobo, ooohhhhlalala!!!

Oh by the way, just a piece of advice, secure a passport even if you don't have any plans to travel outside the Philippines in the next few months because we don't know when the opportunity will come, my future SIL was also scheduled to come here with my mom but unfortunately there's a new rules in applying a PASSPORT, unlike before that you can apply anytime, now you have to get an appointment date to apply or renew a passport. When Che checked the DFA last week for the earliest possible appointment date it will be on January 27 ( I think waiting for 3 weeks for an appointment is TOO LONG), then she will wait for another 10 days for a rush processing. Hopefully they can improve their service and the processing period will be shortened.

Travel Plans for 2011

Have you ever made your holiday plan for this year?
Last year despite of our expected expenses for the wedding, we tried to set aside some money for us to relax and have some quality time together.

We spent the Chinese New Year at KL Malaysia, we booked the bus from WTS travel and took us 5 hours from SIngapore to get there. Since it was a peak season, booking thru travel agency is way expensive, we booked our hotel from Agoda and saved a few $.
From KL we travel more or less 1 hour to Genting Highlands.

After our wedding, we went to Phuket Thailand,we were lucky to booked a promo ticket from Jetstar, it was 90sgd per person exclusive of tax, it was a great deal. We stayed at Kata Beach Resort & Spa, we booked it thru Agoda again. I love Thailand, love the food and the people there are so warm and friendly.

This year I have only two places in mind, Boracay and Hongkong, I am really hoping to visit Boracay this summer and Hongkong on the 3rd-4th quarter of the year, it would be really nice if we can make it on my birthday. =)

Happy weekend!
My hubby is not feeling well since yesterday, i am now in charge in everything, cooking,cleaning and laundry,,, woot!!!
I'ts breaktime, time for facebook and blogging.

Well, how's the first week of the New Year everyone? I am still eating and eating and eating without thinking of pounds I gained from the holiday feast and now I am scared to weigh myself, hehehe!!!

We came home on 24th of December in the evening via Philippine Airlines, we arrived safely 30 minutes before Christmas, days before I am excited it is my first time to go home on Christmas and our flight is really close on that special day, honestly I have this anticipation that PAL will have something special to offer or maybe I told Mark that they will serve a special food since our flight is few hours before novhe buena, but I am slightly disappointed, I just neglect the feeling that time because first I am excited to see the Philippines, my family, relatives and friends, second it's Christmas so there's no room for disappointment, and I am with my hubby, third, I really noticed everyone in the plane was smiling, happy, and excited, fourth my santa claus mark gave my present as soon as we were seated on the plane.

Thank you My Santa, I love you so much! I promise to be a good girl this year! mwah!!!

WHen I woke up, Mark was already in the kitchen preparing for our lunch(sweetness), we usually get up late when we don't have work and we always stay late the night before. After we had our lunch we continued to talk about our lives, our past experiences, then we decided to watch a movie, we bought the DVD a month ago but we never had a chance to watch it. I was in tears and moved by the movie. Hope everyone who happens to see this blog will get a chance to watch be touched of this awesome movie. I BELIEVE that everything happens for a reason, and I know that by writing here and sharing this movie is a way of GOD to deliver HIS wonderful message for all of us.

2010 was such a great year for us and we are looking forward for a better, happier and healthier 2011. yahooo!!!
We welcomed the new year with joyful hearts, full of anticipation of an awesome year. As we begin the year, it's a perfect time for reorganizing, planning, and decision making.
Yes, organizing (?); is it me talking? hahaha,, kidding aside yep I need to find more time to organize my things, our things @ home, and most especially i need to organize my bag because eversince my bag is very messy, sabi nga ni mark andami kong basura. I'll start first for the easiest, so now I badly needed a bag organizer. yoohooo for those who want to help please send me one,, hehehe,,
Did I say planning and decision making? Well everytime we plan for something we really think about it many times and also we set a time frame for that, I learned that setting a time frame in planning is really important.
Yesterday, after we had our lunch we talked about our plans for this year and which of those will come first, we talked for hours (as in 2pm to 12am midnight) and I felt again the excitement when we were planning our wedding, now we are in the stage of looking for our love nest, our home that I can call our own. It will be a long time of waiting but what important is we have started to make it possible. To God be the Glory. Thank you so much Lord for all the blessings, I am really grateful for being YOUR daughter.

I am back here in Singapore to welcome the new year with my hubby, there's a supertition that the couple should be together in welcoming the new year for them to stay together the whole year and even if the happiest place is home to celebrate it, I can't let Mark to celebrate it alone. Our initial plan was to have a dinner in the city and watch the fireworks display just like last year, but last minute we decided to celebrate at home.

I am wishing everyone all the best for this year, may our lives be filled with happiness and let us be grateful for all the blessings that 2011 may bring to us.

It's official, my vacation starts today! yahoo! We've been very busy buying gifts for our loved ones in the Philippines in the past few days, kinda late for Christmas shopping, not new to me coz I am always cramming hahaha!!!
3 Christmases away from home and we're very happy that this year we'll be able to celebrate Christmas with our families and friends.
Christmas is all about love, family and thanksgiving, may we all be humble and may we have a forgiving heart not just for the season but for always.

Our Ultimate Wish for 2011

2010 brought so much happiness to us, we had a very successful wedding, thank God. Last year that was our ultimate wish, I remember Mark was telling me when we were welcoming the New Year at marina bay where all the balloons were floating with all the wishes written, he wrote his wish online.
Last friday is our last monthsary for this year, and we passed by to this booth wherein you will write your wish on the balloon, and here what hubby wrote:

Dinner : Pininyahang Manok

I took a medical leave today, I went to my appointment in Raffles Hospital, all is well, the results are all ok (thank God). While on my way home I was thinking of what to cook for dinner since I will reach home early I decided to cook pininyahan manok.

Ingredients:

Chicken Drumlets (may nabibili kasi dito puro drumlets lang, i decided to use this part para hindi na ako maggagayat hehehe)

1 whole garlic, chopped (ung normal may onion dapat pero nasanay na ako sa lahat ng luto ko na walang onion ayaw kasi ni Mark nun)

2 tbsp olive oil

2 medium size potatoes, peeled and quartered (can be smaller)

1 medium size carrots

1 red bell pepper

2 tbsp patis (fish sauce) depende sa panalat nyo

dash of pepper (depende din sa taste nyo)

2 tbsp pickles

1 can (500g) pineapple chunks in syrup

1 can evaporated milk

1/2 cup grated cheese

Procedure:

Heat a pan and when it’s hot, put olive oil. Saute garlic until golden brown.
Add the chicken and saute for about a minute, then add patis (add more depending on your taste). Mix then add pepper and pickles. Simmer then cover. Juices will start to come out. Wait until chicken is half cooked then add the pineapple syrup, simmer until the chicken is cooked para maglasa sa chicken yung pineapple syrup. When chicken is cooked, add carrots and potatoes. Simmer until the vegetables are cooked.Add the bell pepper, then stir and bring back to a boil. Add the milk then the cheese until melted. Served with rice and a smile. Enjoy!

My hubby loved it, nakakawala daw ng pagod. =)

Last Nov. 8, i received an early Christmas present from hubby, and I am happy to be able to crossed it out on my wish list for 2011.
I was just joking to Mark about it, di ko alam totohanin pala nya hehhee, he fetched me from work and headed to Takashimaya to get my present. If others will wish for gadgets that after a few months will be phased out because new models will be released, I wished for something that will last for years.
When he was holding the paper bag, and I can't hide my kilig, happiness about it, Mark said, "akala nyo lang mga babae na kayo lang ang masaya pag binibigyan kau ng bulaklak o regalo ng mga suitors, bf or hubby, pero hindi nyo alam na mas masaya kaming mga lalaki sa inyo, kasi nakikita namin kung gaano namin kayo napapasaya."

well wala na akong iba pang gustong simbahan kungdi sa EMC lang mula bata pa ako pangarap ko na talaga yun. Sa kanila relax na relax ako, mula sa pagpapabook ng date, sa payment hanggang sa pakikipag usap ang bait bait ni Ms. Josie, ung singer simbahan ang galing galing as in nung nasa altar na kami napapalingon ako sino un sino un, (kasi ung kumanta ng bridal march ko ay Serenata) turned out na singer ng EMC un. Yung sa flowers lang sabi kasi kasama ung sa gilid may flowers pa pero nung wedding wala naman ung parang nakapost na flowers lang meron, (hindi ko alam tawag e hehehe) pero oks lang naman naging very simple lang sya, (pero isa sa SANA nagawa ko is kumuha ng different supplier ng flowers para sa church).
Sa picture taking ala kami problema sa oras, grabe ang tagal ng picture taking kasi andami namin relatives, sineperate ko talaga sa side ng inay at ng ama, ganun din kina mark.

Maganda yung place, hindi na talaga kami naglagay ng drapings kasi maganda na ung ceiling nya, mabait din kausap si Christian at si Ms. Cosette, hindi ko na nagamit ung bridal room pero may mga guests kami na umakyat pa din dun para mag papicture, malinis din daw pati ung restroom.

Naku madami na ata ako nasulat sa blog ko pati sa wedsite namin about Ms. V, basta ako love na love ko sya talaga,,, ang ganda ganda ng gown ko ang babait nilang lahat, sobra ko tuloy namiss yung fittngs namin, lahat sila ang babait sa amin. ( DIfferent Supplier ito:Nagkaproblema kami sa gown ng mothers ung sa inay ko napabalik ko pa kasi di ok ung sukat saka di ko nagustuhan, ung sa nanay ni mark di na naibalik pero naman hindi talaga maganda, anyways hayssss ilalagay ko ung kwento nun dito) To the rescue si Ms. V talaga nakita nya ung gown and hindi talaga kami komportable sa nilagay ni Gretchen kaya niretoke talaga ni Ms. V pinalitan nya at ang sobrang happy kami sa nangyari sa gown ng nanay ni mark.

Happy bride ako kaya gusto ko maging happy groom din si Mark, kaya Veluz groom naman sya. Ok lahat sukat walang kaprobleproblema,, dapat mag babarong si Mark pero sabi kasi ni Niko mas bagay yung suit sa gown ko, kaya ora mismo sige mag suit na si Mark, gusto ko din naman maranasan nya yung joy na nararanasan ko sa fitting kaya hindi na ako naghanap pa ng iba kay Ms. V na talaga.

Ay!! Nagbabasa na ako ng blog nya dati pa start pa lang ako sa wedpreps ko, at ay inlove na agad ako sa kanya,,kaso parang hindi ko afford sya kaya hindi ko sya kinuha NUNG UMPISA. Kumuha ako ng iba (pero wala din naman ako masasabi sa unang kinuha ko sobrang nirerespeto ko sila kaso nung nasa eto na dibdiban na preps na pinili ko yung gusto talaga ng PUSO KO, parang pagpili din ng mapapangasawa di ba you wont settle sa mabait sa lahat ng magagandang qualities na meron ung iba, pero dun ka magsesettle sa MAHAL mo at magbibigay ng walang kapantay na kasiyahan sayo...naks naman sounds corny ba,basta yunn yung nararamdaman ko kaya pagbigyan nyo na ako hehhee) as I said wala kaming naging problema nung unang coordinator ko para magpalit ako as in.

I remember nagbabasa ulit ako ng blog nya at aliw na aliw talaga ako, pinapanood ko ung isang video na pinost nya sa blog nya at sobrang iba talaga tinawag ko si mark at pinapanood ko sa kanya, sabi ko "sana maging kasing ganda din nyan yung wedding natin,,, GUSTONG GUSTO KO TALAGA SYA", aba sumagot si mark eto ang sabi nya "Kung gusto mo talaga sya tawagan mo na sya ngayon pa lang." Problem ko that time paano ako magbaback out dun sa unang coord namin, pero basta tinawagan ko agad si Ms. Cla,,,, the moment na narinig ko boses nya ay naku parang nakausap ko si Sharon Cuneta sa kilig ko hehhee,,, ayun nag inquire na ako then ayun na start na ng happy happy preps.
Wala akong naging problema, sya na yung sumalo sa amin, yung sa missalette sa church namin sabi ko kasi ako na ung dadaan sa church para sa copy nung last na uwi namin before ng kasal pero hindi kami nakadaan,, hindi ako nagsabi sa kanya na hindi ako nakakuha, basta gumagawa ako ng way like iemail ko na lang sana si Ms. Josie, kaso bigla eto na nakakuha na si Ms. Cla ng kopya, inayos na din nya lahat. Nung first meeting namin OC talaga sya as in pati ilang minuto ung entrance nakadetalye sa kanya hayzzz,, basta alam na agad namin na we're in good hands with Clarice, magalang mabait at matalino, magaling sya sa decision making. Napahaba na ata at madami pa sanang kwento, siguro maggawa ako ng separate blog for her.

Sobrang thankful talaga kami kay Ms. Cla kasi malaking factor na sya ang coordinator kaya naging successful yung wedding namin, nakita ko kung gaano sya nirerespeto at minamahal ng mga suppliers namin, sobrang galing nya ding makisama.

6. Mothers'Gown: Gretchen Pichay - 1

haysss,, gusto ko maganda at maayos para sa gown ng inay at MIL, kaya naghanap talaga ako ng separate na supplier sa mga abay, gustuhin ko man na si Ms. V na din gumawa ng gowns nila kaso hindi na talaga namin afford yun kung alam ko lang sana kay Farley na lang din kami nagpagawa. Taga Quezon province pa kami kaya lumuwas pa ang inay para sa sukat nya, bago kami bumalik ng Singapore kami mismo ni mark ang nagpunta kina Gretchen para magbayad ng downpayment, the next day measurement naman ng mga inay at MIL hindi na kami kasama. Naunang makuha yung gown ng mga abay kaya excited si MIL kasi nakakahon separately yung mga gowns pati sa fgs, nung kinuha nya na yung gown kay Gretchen naka plastic na stipe lang kaya nagtaka si MIL ang mahal daw ng gown nila compared sa mga abay nakakahon pa. Ok lang yun,,, ok yung sukat kay MIL pero medyo masikip din pero sabi nya magdadiet na lang daw sya para di gaano masikip, pero yung sa inay hindi talaga maisuot, hindi naman tumaba ang inay, ( nakapag first fitting din ang inay at naisuot pa nya medyo pinapaluwagan nya lang ng konti) pero nagtaka ang inay bakit hindi na talaga nya maisuot at yung mga beads daw ang konti at hindi maganda, nasa singapore pa kami nun kaya tinext ko si gretchen na ibabalik yung gown at pakiayos na lang yung sukat, lumuwas na ulit ang inay para lang isoli yung gown tapos pinadagdagan nya ng beads, kami na lang ang kumuha ni Mark kina Gretchen, ok naman nagkausap kami, maganda na yung gown ng inay medyo masikip nga lang din sa manggas pero yung design ok nman. Yung kay MIL hindi na nasoli hassle din kasi pagpunta, pero naman apple green yung gown ni MIL nilagyan nya ng tanso tanso,, nung tanungin ko bakit ganun nilagay nya sabi nya para daw vintage, ala naman ako sinabi sa kanya na Theme, saka apple green gawing Vintage, kaya nung time na fitting namin kay Ms. V ayun nakita nya pinalitan nya na lang yung mga tanso tanso kaya happy na din kami.
Mga sis,, siguro isolated lang case ko, hindi naman siguro lahat magiging ganun, kasi kaya ko din naman sya kinuha dahil sa mga good reviews sa kanya dito, sinasabi ko lang yung nangyari sa amin, yung hassle na inabot namin sa kanya.

madaming good reviews kay Farley tapos yung mga friends ko din dito sg like Sis Escie and Sis Gia maganda yung experience sa kanya, dito sa gowns ng entou ako nahirapan magdecide san ba ako hahanap ng gagawa sa quezon ba sa lipa ba o sa manila na, kasi yung mga abay ko may sa Quezon, Lipa, Pangasinan at Manila, pero kailangan ko na talaga magdecide, kung sa Quezon at Lipa hahanap pa ako pero sa Manila #1 na si Farley sa akin, tapos si Ms. Cla pa ok sila ni Farley.
Ok lahat halos lahat sarili lang yung nagsukat pinadala lang sa amin yung sukat pero ok naman kami alang naging major na problema, ang gaganda lahat ng gowns, ok sya idistribute hindi nakakahiya kasi nakakahon yung mga gown at ang mura mura pa, ang dami kong flower girls at long gown din ung sa SS ko,, pero naman sa price nya sulit na sulit na talaga.

Ok naman yung suit sa gardini, buti na lang may malapit sa bahay ni na mark kaya hindi hassle sa amin pagkuha at pasukat.

9. Caterer: Eloquente Catering - 5

Ang bait ni Jun, lahat ng nirequest ko binigay, nag upgrade kami ng bridal car pero ala na kami binayaran na additional charge, may pinadagdag pa kami na menu yung lengua. Nung malapit na wedding bigla nagpalit daw ng AE si Ms. Lyn na medyo panic ako pero napakagaling ng coord ko kaya sya na ung nakipag meeting kay Ms. Lyn, ang ganda ganda ng set up namin, as in, ung centerpieces ang ganda ganda, yung waiters ang babait. Totoo pala yung hindi makakain, kaya based na lang sa mga guests masasarap daw yung food, at ang dami dami daw. Yun lang naman yung gusto namin talaga, gusto namin madami at masarap na pagkain para sa mga guests, malalayo kasi pinanggalingan nila Quezon, Batangas, Mindoro.

Nung una dapat kasama na kina Jayson yung Video namin yung basic na video nila,, pero hala di ako paawat sabi ko kay mark gusto ko may SDE din hehehe,, kaya ayun go na go din agad si Mark. Wala kaming meeting bago yung wedding transactions lang namin thru emails lang at text ka text ko si Jon, ok agad pareserve agad kami sa kanila na din kami kumuha ng projector para ala na kami problema pa kung saan hahanap. Nung wedding mismo sa hotel, hala ang kukulit nila ang saya ng room namin kulitan asaran, andun lahat si Jon, CJ at Bong, o di ba grabe ang happiness ko di ko ineexpect un kala ko isa o dala lang sa kanila pero kumpleto, andun din si Rose at Maeline, hindi ako tinipid ng Threelogy. SDE pa lang namin ganda ganda na, kaya excited na kami lalo sa video namin. Grabe heart na heart ko ang threelogy.

12 HMUA : Jesy Alto and Raymond - 5

Nahirapan si Raymond sa akin kasi yung veil ko embroidered mabigat sya kaya kailangan gupitan yung hair ko, ang ganda a linis ng hair ko, wala kaming trial HMUA pero bumagay yung ayos ng hair at make up ko. Pati make up ng inay at ni MIL ang ganda din. Si jesy nag stay pa hanggang reception, may retouch ako sa church bago mag mag start yung ceremony, after ng ceremony retouch ulit at nung bago kami pumasok sa reception.

13. Cake: Joy San Gabriel - 5

Ang sarap sarap ng cakes ni Ms. Joy, ang bait bait pa, isa sa gusto ko sa kasal yung cake talaga gusto ko masarap gusto ko mataas yung cake ko, nakakatuwa kasi si Ms. Joy talagang idinemo nya kung gaano kataas yung magiging cake namin tapos OC din sya, sya pa nagreremind kung kelan kami available para mapagusapan yung design ng cake.

14. Flowers: Mang Boy Mahusay - 5

Sa dami ng entou ko at ninong at ninang alam ko di biro yung magiging presyo ng flowers ayoko na din masyado gumastos kasi sa bulaklak. Kinonsult ko si Ms. Cla sabi ko eto yung budget ko pero di ko alam kung kanino ako kukuha ng flowers, sinuggest nya agad si Mang Boy, medyo alangan ako kasi may nabasa akong negative sa kanya pero sabi ni Ms. Cla sasamahan daw nya ako kahit kelan daw hindi pa pumalpak sa kanya si Mang Boy, ang galing lahat ng ninang at entou lahat nakabouquet tapos yung gusto ko na bouquet ko cymbidium lahat yun pumasok sa budget ko. Nung wedding ang gaganda ng bulaklak pati yung bouquet ko ang ganda ganda.

15. Entertainment: Serenata Strings - 5

Nakanta nila ng maayos yung bridal march ko na He Brought Me To You, yun yung mahalaga sa akin,, tapos nung nag lalakad na mga entou naririnig ko ung Moonriver sobrang touched ako nung time na yun di ko na talaga mapigil yung luha ko, ang laki ng factor ng music talaga kasi habang naglalakad ako at hinihintay ako ni Mark sa dulo ng aisle parang ung music yung nagsisilbing communication namin sa isa't isa at sa mga guests.

She did her job well, saka malapit sya sa table namin ni hubby kaya pag tense ako tumitingin lang ako sa kanya and she will smile at me yun parang kinocomfort nya na ako.

Nag enjoy ang mga guests namin, tuwang tuwa sila sa photobooth. Ang bait din daw nung nag aassist.Mabilis lang lahat, ang bait bait ni Nadia pati yung sa design email lang kasi nung time na yun parang busy na talaga kami sa work sa preps.

Nakakatuwa si elmer, gusto ko na magdown sa kanya kaso ang busy nya hindi nya maisend sa akin yung account number nya, pero sabi nya irereserve na daw nya yung date para sa amin. Sobrang galang nya, sa text, pagkausap sa phone, at lalong gumanda ang La Castellana dahil sa kanya.

Yey, im so sorry though I promised to blog every week, I've been busy this past 3 weeks, I did a lot of preparations before I went on leave for our Phuket trip, anyway I will write about it soon.
It's 6:11 am now and I am still awake, actually I still want to stay in front of my laptop but I need to catch some sleep for later activities with hubby and friends, we're gonna watch a movie and I am excited to see Angelina Jolie in big screen again.
Before I decided to lay in our bed and sleep, I looked first for my newest book Insatiable, honestly I am still looking for a time to start to read it, I just realized that everytime I have a book I will put it beside me in bed, just like my cp I want my book to be beside me while I am asleep. And one more thing is after I've finished The Book of Tomorrow I can't find peace of mind until I get a new book.

Hanggang ngayon hindi pa din ako makapaniwala na mabibigyan ng espasyo ang aking mga larawan sa kanyang blog. Still giggling with the latest gift I received from Hon, I am lucky to have a very generous husband,,,, and here is his gift,, my first ever LV bag!!! I am very surprised when I saw him carrying the brown paper bag, I was at home when he called me to meet him at the ground floor of our HDB to get snack from a nearby McDonalds then he handed me the paper bag, he really enjoys spoiling me and I love being pampered by him. I am very grateful to have him.

Hello again,

I am here to introduce my newest favorite I've found in Ion Mall Orchard. It's the 4Fingers Bonchon Crispy Chicken, yep they are truly delicious and I can't wait to go to Orchard again, maybe not tomorrow, we have to stay at home to wait for our new aircon to be delivered and installed, im just hoping they can finish it early, so that we can still go out for our weekly routine date. We usually go out after work every Friday, enjoy our dinner together, to check out for the sale items (it's GSS by the way), watch a movie (talking about movie, im looking forward to see Eclipse the soonest hahaha!!!) but due to heavy rain this afternoon I decided to just stay at home.

Hey, it's been a while, I have a lots of backlogs to post. Now I promise to myself to write here every week, I need to squeeze out my thoughts, hahaha!!!
I am on leave from work yesterday (for it is 1:41 am and im still awake) and today, that's why I can afford to stay awake at this time.
Here's what will you expect from me to write about:

Now I am reading Book of Tomorrow by Cecilia Ahern, at first I thought I wont like it but suprisingly I love every single page. I love the character and I love her name too, She is Tamara, she used to live in a mansion, living a very comfortable life with her parents until her father died, and their lives change in a snap. She and her mother moved to his uncle's house and there she will find from a moving library a book but turned out to be her diary, mysteriously the diary contains what will happen to her a day ahead.

Wish I also have that diary, I do mistakes I am just ordinary human being, I do upset easily. What matters to me most is my family, I want to take back all hurtful words and actions (unintentionally... if there was) I've done especially to my loved ones. I am not good in showing my love to them, but if only they will see inside of me, I will do anything for them, for their happiness.
Sttttooooppppp!!! I am getting emotional here, hehehe. I will sleep now.
I will write here again tomorrow, I have lots lots of time to do it.

I have told Mark what I want for my birthday, I know it's still 2 more months but I just felt I need to say to him, I am not that type, I dont ask for a gift to him for the past 9 Years, he's just good in giving gifts, maybe because he knows me a lot, but this year I have only 1 simple wish.

Our wedding is getting nearer and nearer, we're finally going home on Thursday. Actually, I am so stressed this week, I am working even on weekend and holiday (Labor Day) just to compensate the days that I will not be able to work because of the wedding. Last Tuesday, my boss talked to me if I can postpone the wedding for 2 months,, I was shocked and I explained to him that I have limit my days of leave to 8 days because I know that the project I am with is very busy, and really it is too short to celebrate that special event and besides all my relatives and friends who are based in other countries have already bought their tickets for the wedding, all the stuffs are ready and we have already paid for everything. He still asked me to atleast try to talk to Mark and my parents, and that if I postpone the wedding I can take 3 weeks to 1 month leave. I couldn't believe what's happening, but I just prayed and trust everything to God. My husband is very supportive, and he just said if they didn't approve my leave , dito ka na lang sa bahay,,, wahehehe,, (it means mag resign na ako). It's really very hard for me this week because I just started my 7 days diet last Monday and I have to stay late at work, just imagine, the combined emotional stress ( because I dont have time to my wed preps), pressure at work, physically and emotional tireness, GUTOM,,, wahehehe...

Good news is my boss talked to me again yesterday and that my leave was approved already, but he asked for assurance that I will not extend my vacation leave.

I still don't know what we need to do,, bahala na si Batman,, but I know there's a lot of stuffs that will be neglected. I am now at the state like I am just sitting at one corner waiting for my turn.

While I am busy to work, my husband sent an email to me, he emailed his vows but only the first letter of each sentences,, oh my,, meron na sya ako wala pa,,

By the way, here's our wedding abubots, not complete yet,, dami pa kulang ( hahaha!!!) and the countdown in my laptop says "It's 9 days until our special day"

For our Flower Girls

While work is taking most of my time, I am still trying to give some of my time for our wedding preps, thanks to my hubby for patiently waiting for me everytime I have to extend my working hours. Went shopping last friday for our flower girls and female entou, I got emotional when I saw the MOYMOYs for them,, they are still young but I wish that someday they'll find their own Moymoy who will send them to the altar to utter the words I DO.

Hubby got his reward yesterday,,, and it's fulfilling to see him happy!!! love u hon,, mwah! mwah! mwah!

36 Days To Go!!!

At this time, I learned to let go, I am now contented on what we have now, I dont what to stress ourselves for the little things about the wedding. When we were in the Philippines last Holy Week, I remember my father said to not to worry about others reaction, because we can't please everybody, everybody has to say something, we have limited number of guests, I wanted to invite them all but we have to stick on our budget.

I finally met our coordinator Ms. Clarice, hmmm..happiness... she's such a darling, we discussed everything, she is very organize, Mark has nothing to say but all praises to her. She accompanied us to Dangwa to book for Mang Boy Mahusay for the flowers, she really helped us on what kind of flowers to choose, and im so happy because everyone will have a bouquet on our wedding but still the price is within our budget. ( our PS is 16 pairs, FG is 12.. hehehe). I am so happy on getting her as our coordinator.

We met also with Mr. Lorenz Arquero of Serenata Strings, he is very nice also, we discussed about the songs (entou march, bridal march, first dance, father and daughter dance) to be used, and the rest will be his selections.

We also had our prenup, Lindsay Co-Alog made my hair and make up, then we headed to La Mesa Eco Park to meet with Feliz Christine Diestro my prenup coordinator and Jayson and JOanne Arquiza our photographers. We had a great time working with them, we love our pictures, it's like we are not ngarag days before our prenup shoot.

Less than 2 months...

Now that my countdown is down to 2 digits, everything is coming to my senses that it is now less than 2 months until our wedding day. I started visualizing and planning my wedding for more than 1 year, but the actual preparation really took us 7 months (including the wedding day), although I booked most of our suppliers before but I realized that making payments are nothing compared to going in to details of the wedding, like finalizing the principal sponsors and entourage and calling them one by one, selections of menu to serve, guests list and table arrangements, if your friends for example in high school or college are 12 or 11 and they all want to seat together (lol), music to be played at particular event in the reception, programs for the reception, measurements of entourage, etc.

Mark just informed me that his leave was approved and he is now more excited for our trip to Manila on Saturday, weee.. yep, we are going HOME again for the last leg of our wedding preparation. We will finally meet our coordinator for the first time and she offered to accompany us to Dangwa where we will book Mang Boy Mahusay for our flowers. I so heart her, I told her about my budget for flowers and instead of going to a more expensive supplier she suggested Mang Boy and assured me that he never fails her in terms of delivering really good flowers, so I decided why go to expensive one if he can offer the same service and besides my friend Gia who just got married advised me not to spend too much on flowers coz after the wedding it would be nothing.
We will have a prenuptial shoot on March 30 and I am still looking for a venue, I can’t decide if we will pursue it in Tagaytay or we will just find good locations in Manila or QC area. Pictures will be posted here. Yey!!!

86 Days To Go!

Well, that's explain how busy I am plus the work load argghhh! We are now working on our invitation, full names and spelling of our uber special casts of this wedding checked, we will just send it to craftmaster next week. I would like to give credit to the Best Man (my brother in law Angelo) for helping us in dealing with craftmaster and for making the map to be inserted in the invites, thanks anjo, you're really playing your part ah, kudos, thanks much!
At first I thought it was very easy to plan a wedding of your dream, coz I have set my mind where I want to get married, what I want to wear, who will be there for us, but after booking everything we need, the hardest part is when we go to details, which one is the best, example: which song will we use this or this or this or this... , parang we love every song we hear pero di pwede lahat, but eventually there is this Perfect One that will stand out, just like the Perfect Creation that God has brought to Me.

We had a blast last month when we went home for wedding preps, we stayed at Sofitel and met Santino, I have high expectations for this hotel but it turned out just a so-so for me, though we have yet to try their dinner buffet maybe in May will get to try, that I heard a lot of positive reviews kasi for their food. We already booked our stay here night before and after the wedding, after that we don't know where to stay (lol) maybe will go back to SG na lang hehehe.

List of our accomplishments last Month

1. If i am a Veluz Bride,, am happy to announce that Mark is now a Veluz Groom!!! yippeee!!! Mark decided to wear a suit instead of barong.
2. Booked our super love coordinator Clarice! yey! She's really my dream coordinator. She gave me a wedding planning kit (have to post a pic pa)...I love her more!
3. Cake...checked! yipeeee! Until now I am salivating for Ms. Joy San Gabriel cake, she has a wedding that day but she still accomodated us. Dito ako excited e, will finalize the design next month sa pag uwi namin.
4. Mother's Gown : Gretchen Pichay, heard Gretchen sa w@w and saw her bridal creation, I am impressed agad.
5. Entourage Gown: Farley - I was talking to him at the phone inquiring for entou gowns, and I was haggling for FG gown, I said, baka po you can give me pa discount for FG gowns 10 po kasi ung FG namin and I heard at the other line his BIG LAUGH, oh and now its 12 na FG na.
6.Second Food Tasting- Eloquente: Ok na ok na yung food, and Jun gave us additional menu which is Lenggua, actually before that may bloopers pa kasi Jun said ma'am minsan lang po talaga ioffer yung lenggua kasi po for 250 guests ilang dila ng baka yung magagamit,, wahehehe may point nga naman, but he still gave it us for free.

We stil have so many things to settle, like the flowers and have to meet pa with Serenata for the bridal march song and guest lists, sana mag RSVP sila agad para sa headcount sa caterer.

I didn't expect this to happen, this wedding, my gown,and the E-RING! Am I deserving for this?(lol)

When we got married, although Mark promised me to give me my dream wedding,I didn't take it seriously, as I knew that once we are married our priorities will change, until the day after our first year here in Singapore that he brought out the topic. I was just thinking that wow,, he really serious in keeping his promise, that was the time that I keep daydreaming of myself wearing a nice gown, yap, I think the most important for me aside from my groom waiting at the end of the aisle and my family and friends cheering and happy for us, is my GOWN, but in my mind the wedding is a bonus na I don't want to abuse what I have na,, but there’s one designer who captured my heart, but I need to come back in reality that spending too much in my gown is a big NO, we should priority first what we need and let go of nice to haves. I search for other designers but never push through the transactions, Mark then was so quiet and just letting me decide for the wedding, until he asked me how much is the costs of the gown made by my dream designer, my eyes were twinkling, I couldn’t believe he is asking, and my reply was as I remember,, “naku mahal talaga hon e, dami pa natin kailangan.” (with a little kilig tone in my voice) Then he told me to just try to inquire,, masunurin akong asawa kaya I DID! When Ms. V replied and send the quotation for my gown, I informed agad mark , I was nervous that he might change his mind but he was happy for what he saw and asked me to send the reservation as soon as possible, I told him I will not ask for anything, coz for me my gown is too much, I couldn’t ask for more. Then the last surprised I get from him is my engagement ring, this is the least I expect from Mark, for in my mind I have my gown as a replacement for it.One night after my birthday, I was impatiently waiting for him, coz he usually never go home late, except if he is in a mall to buy something, he is too meticulous in buying things unlike me I easily decide on stuff when I shop, and he always ask permission whenever he will buy something. That night was different, he never answered my call, I was losing my temper, I easily get irritated especially when I am hungry (lol). When he came, I was relieved that he was safe, then he told me he has something for me, I was thrilled coz I knew he’s not kuripot when it comes to me, then he showed me a small box,, my heart was beating so fast, when I opened the box jaraaannn,, it was a necklace,, hehehe waaaa!!! I was not expecting but when I saw the box the first thing in my mind was a ring,, a little bit disappointed hehhee,, but I didn’t show it to him,, he put it on my neck and I kissed and hugged him, we ate our dinner, then he kept asking the whole night if I am happy,, I said I am. The next morning, I woke him up to get ready to work, I thought he was in the shower but after 2mins he woke me up, and the first thing I saw was the same box it was opened and the ring was there, so beautiful and simple. I was looking on it, as he uttered the words he said before. kilig till now.

I am done with my first fitting of my gown, all praises to my designer Ms. V, it was only a lining but it really fits well, I really felt I am like a princess,, too bad i wasn't able to take a picture, I was starstrucked kasi with her. My next fitting will be on January 29, we already booked our ticket for that, I will not let it pass na, will post photos of it here.

My 6 days vacation last week is tiring but I felt a lot of happiness, had a great time with my family especially my mom whom I missed most, everyday of it was about wedding preps, had food tasting with our caterer, I am just a little bit disappointed because I was looking for that wow factor taste, but I just find it plain and ordinary, but there's no turning back, we already paid for reservation before even if we haven't tasted their foods I took a risk here I just relied from what I read about them, after the food tasting I want to let go of our reservation with them but I dont have much time to find for replacement so we just settled and paid the downpayment. Maybe I will just ask for another food tasting for Mark in January and we'll just make suggestions on how to improve the menu.

We also went to our reception, there's a wedding that time, I can't describe the feeling, it was my first time to see the place and I find it perfect, I knew I made a right choice to this one.

I am now planning our itinerary for our 4 days vacation in January, i know it will be a lot easier because Mark is coming with me.

I enjoy reading blogs, I always go to Dapne's Diary http://daphneosena.livejournal.com/, she writes really well that I can't describe how really good she is, I learned a lot from her and her opinions and choices influenced me, I instantly became a fan. It started when we went to Sephora to buy perfume for Mark, then the sales lady asked me to try Viva La Juicy, I was hesitant coz I am not familiar with it, she told me it's their no. 1 best selling perfume, and indeed it smells heavenly sweet. Last Thursday we accidentally saw Juicy Couture shop in Takashimaya, all the items are exquisite beautiful. Now I am thinking that my next purchase for myself will be Juicy couture watch,, yayyyy!!!

I was eyeing to buy a digital camera for quite long na, but I never see it as necessity since hubby has his Nikon DSLR but I find it very bulky and heavy everytime we go out, then there was a time that I went for a business trip and I dont have a choice but to use our old camera we purchased 5 years ago from a friend in Japan. And now that I'm going for a 5 days vacation in the Philippines ( actually it is not a vacation but I will settle important things for the wedding) my hubby bought me this...
